Coffee-King Debate Set For Tonight
There will be a debate be tween Congressman Cecil It. King, Democrat, and Republi can Candidate Tom Coffee, at the Elks Hall, 1735 W. 102n;( St., near Western Ave. in Gar- dena, tonight at 8 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.
The debate will be on na tional issues agreed upon by King Barton, representing the Democrats, and Fred Hide, rep resenting the Republicans.
Former Gardens City Attor ney Don Davidson will act as moderator and Lon Fishback of Hollypark will be master of ceremonies.
Congressman King will be introduced by Assemblyman Clayton A. Dills.

Choral Union To Observe Reformation
The IMS Angeles Choral Union will participate In two Sunday services as part of tho Reformation Festival of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Dr. Paul Vernon will direct the choir at 8 p.m. at the Haw thorne service, and at 3:30 p.m. inNorth Hollywood.
Speaker at both services will be Dr. Marcus Rleke, pres ident of Texas Lutheran Col lege.
The Festival marks the first joint reformation rally of the three church bodies uniting to form the American Lutheran Church: The Evangelical Lu theran, United Evangelical Lu theran and American Lutheran churches.

WILLIAM TOLSON JR. In Top Executive Post
Bill Tolson In District Managership
William H. Tolson Jr., who resides at 1416 Beech Ave., has been named district'manager for the William N. Klove agency of the Equitable Life Assurance Society, it was re ported here yesterday.
Tolson, who was born in Tor- ranee, is the son of a pioneer Torrance businessman and realtor and has been with the Equitable firm since Jaiv.'iirv, 1958. He attended Torranco schools and El Camino Collc^j.
In his new post, Tolson will be responsible for supervision of training and operations of agents in the Torrance-Soiilh Bay area. Prior to his appoint ment as district manager, he was'one .of the .top.fiejd assist- anls in the 11 western stairs, and has been one of the top producers in his agency.
Before joining the insurance firm, Tolson was associated with his father in the really firm of William II. Tolson and Assoc.
Tolson and liis wife, .Joy-*, have a daughter, Carold, who is a third grader at Fern Ele- rpeiltary School.
AreaSPEBSQSA Chapter Opens Winter Season
Resuming a fall meeting schedule are members of tho Torrance chapter of the Society for the Preservation and En couragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America (SPEBSQSA), it was announced here yesterday by Lloyd Hill.
.The group, dedicated to "good,;old-fashioned harmony" and fellowship will meet at South High School's music room (R-l) each Monday eve ning at 7:30.
"It is now the beginning of the winter season," Hill said, "a good time to devote one eve ning a week to the fun and good-fellowship to be derived from 'ringing' chords with other men in good old har mony."
Although SPEBSQSA places first emphasis on quartet de velopment, each chapter start* with a chorus. The quartet de velops from this nucleus, but singing experience is offered to all.
Quartets and choruses are In demand throughout the area* as entertainers, and sing an nually at concerts and other events, plus hospitals
