There are many different roles in sport which can encourage all students to get involved. Some individuals may choose to perform as part of a team whereas others may prefer to leader or coach.

There are numerous nationally recognised courses associated to sport. The nature of each course differs greatly in terms of knowledge and experienced gained. Some courses are listed below:

Sport related courses and qualifications

GCSE PE:

Full or short course. Involves practical and theoritical components.

BTEC national diploma:

Completed in units and has a bigger coursework element.

NVQ:

Specific qualifications for sports development.
