Annual production of coal

(c) whether the methodology for linkagerationalisation of power producers has beenaccepted by Government recently; and

(a) whether Government would like toconvert the Ordnance Factories into aCommercial Organisation;

(b) whether Government will considerupgrading the Ordnance Factories Board(OFB) on the lines of the Railway Board,Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)and Department of Atomic Energy insteadof converting the Ordnance Factories intoa Corporation; and

Defence Export Policy

(a) whether it is a fact that India's defenceexport would triple to ` 35,000 crore by2024;

Government is considering to lowerbureaucratic barriers and simplifyprocedures to promote domestic defencemanufacturing; and

Import of weapons by India

(a) whether it is a fact that India wasimporting 14 per cent of total arms andammunition globally which was more thanthat imported by China and Pakistancollectively;

(b) whether it is also a fact that in 1992,the Defence Research and DevelopmentOrganisation (DRDO) had chalked out aplan under which the then trend of 80 percent of import of weapons and 20 per centof its export was to be reversed; and

(c) if so, the target achieved till date?

Appointment of Chief of DefenceStaff
