- MISREPRESENT YOUR PRODUCT as to what it is capable of delivering

- OVER PROMISE AND UNDER DELIVER to win contracts

- UNDERCUT A COMPETITOR’S REPUTATION to gain the competitive edge

Listen to God’s reassurance

• “The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out…The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.”(Proverbs 10:9; 11:3)

Listen to God’s reassurance• “I have seen a wicked and ruthless man

flourishing like a green tree in its native soil, but he soon passed away and was no more; though I looked for him, he could not be found.  Consider the blameless, observe the upright; there is a future for the man of peace.” (Psalm 37:35-37)

A Biblical perspective

• Doing business focuses on EXCELLENCE and SERVANTHOOD rather than on COMPETITION.

• Since God has already promised to meet our needs, why not simply serve the public with a top flight product and rest the results with Him?

A Biblical perspective• Choosing to do business God’s way may

appear foolish in winning over one’s competitors.

• However, it opens the door for God to demonstrate His faithfulness to you, and gives you an opportunity to observe His programin dealing with the unrighteous.

Proverbs 4:23• Above all else, guard your heart, for it is

the wellspring of life.

- Our hearts hold the key to life.- Out of the condition of our hearts flows life or death.- For this reason we need to guard and protect our hearts.

Prayer Focus• Father, In the name of Jesus, I

surrender myself to walk in the Word in the marketplace. Your word living in me produces the Life in this world.

• The word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. It makes my way plain before me.

• I boldly and confidently say that my heart is fixed and established on the solid foundation – the Living Word of God! Amen

Learning, application and commitment: James 1: 22-25

• “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves.

• Do what it says. • Anyone who listens to the word but does not do

what it says is like a man who looks at his face in the mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.

• But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it - he will be blessed in what he does.” (NIV)
