Proverbs 23:24

The father of a righteous man has great joy; he who has a

wise son delights in him.



Proverbs 29:17

• Discipline your son, and he will give you peace; he will bring delight to your soul.

• That little word ‘discipline’ by the way, conveys the idea of correction, instruction, punishment and reproof. (See Psalms 16:7; 38:1; 39:11; 118:8; Proverbs 9:7; 19:18; 29:17)

• The Scriptures are clear in their caution, Fathers, don’t over-correct your children, or they will grow up feeling inferior and frustrated. (Col. 3:21 Phillips Translation)



I have no greater joy

• In the Scriptures, III John 1:4 states, I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.



God sincerely desires to favour us

God sincerely desires to favour us, if we will just live

righteously, on His terms (2 Chronicles 16:9).



Like an eagle, you will gain

altitude, growing in

grace, poise, confidence,

humility (hopefully) and

perspective (Isaiah 40:29-31).

can enjoy rest for our souls.• Give Him your worries and cares

today and receive His rest!

Prayer Focus• Father, In the name of Jesus, I

surrender myself to walk in the Word in the market place. Your word living in me produces the Life in this world.

• The word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. It makes my way plain before me.

• I boldly and confidently say that my heart is fixed and established on the solid foundation – the Living Word of God! Amen



Learning, application and commitment: James 1: 22-25

• “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves.

• Do what it says. • Anyone who listens to the word but does not do

what it says is like a man who looks at his face in the mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.
