MM/Rehabi./Applicant/66/11/2012/6515 dated 20.11.2012 and Environmental Clearance is

required as per EIA Notification dated 2006, as amended time to time, this project is comes

���� Periodical water spraying on the roads will be done.

���� Proper maintenance of all machines will be carried out that will control

emission of gaseous pollutant.

WATER MANAGEMENT

���� There is no surface water body in and around the mining lease area.

���� The rain water collected in mining pit will be used in plantation and

dust suppression.

NOISE POLLUTION CONTROL

���� Proper maintenance of all machines will be carried out which will

reduce noise generation during operations.

LAND RECLAMATION

At the end of five year of mine, total excavated area will be about 0.77 ha,

which will be converted in to water reservoir, 0.01 ha area will be used

for storage of top soil which will be used for plantation, 0.01 ha area for

overburden dump, 0.01 ha area used as roads and 0.10 ha will be

covered under greenbelt.

SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT

� The generated solid waste will be used for construction and

maintenances of kucha approach road time to time. There will no waste

dump at the end of life of the mine.

GREEN BELT DEVELOPMENT

Green Belt/plantation will be developed equal to 33% of total lease area.

The trees will be planted at suitable spacing to encourage proper growth

around the lease boundary. The dead plants will be replaced by fresh

plants. Native Plant species will be planted

SOCIO ECONOMIC IMPROVEMENT

���� As the mining activities will increase, better employment opportunity.

���� Semi skilled & unskilled workers will be recruited from the nearby

villages.

2.0 INTRODUCTION OF THE PROJECT/ BACKGROUND INFORMATION

This proposal for Masonry Stone (Cheja Pathar) Mining Project, M.L. No.

66/2011, ML Area 1.0 ha. Near Village: Gangora, Tehsil: Pahari, District:

Bharatapur (Rajasthan).

This is new mining lease and letter of Intent for the same has been issued by

(iii) Need for the Project & Its Importance to the Country/ Region

The mineral Masonry stone (Cheja Pathar) is used in various construction

activities and will be sold to nearby markets to fulfill the requirements of the

local people.

(iv) Demand – Supply Gap

Considering the demand of mineral sufficient availability of the mineral in the

area, it is essential to have Masonry stone (Cheja Pathar) mine to sustain the

supply of mineral for construction purpose.

(v) Imports vs. Indigenous Production

It is a cheap mineral used in construction activities in rural areas therefore

export is not possible

(vi) Export Possibility

There is no export possibility as these mineral is quite cheap and locally

available in abundance and used in rural areas.

(vii) Domestic/Export Markets

These minerals have only domestic market and will fulfill the requirement of

local. The stone may also be supplied to stone crusher proposed to be installed

outside the lease area.

(viii) Employment Generation (Direct and Indirect) due to the Project

The total 29 skilled and unskilled manpower needed to run the mine

(i) Type of Project Including Interlinked And Independent Projects, If Any

This is opencast semi-mechanized mining project. There is no interlinked or

interdependent project based on mineral produced. The mineral will be sold

directly.

No alternative site has been taken into consideration due to availability of

mineral resources in the area and.

(iv) Size and magnitude of operation

The Production of Masonry stone (Cheja Pathar) will be 84530 TPA from the

mine located near Village: Gangora, Tehsil: Pahari, District: Bharatapur

(Rajasthan)

(3) Method of Mining

The mining will be done by opencast method thus the working area proposed in

slices of 1.5 meters hieght each. Four slices are considered in a bench. The height &

width of bench will be 6 meters at a time. Hydraulic excavator/loader and tippers

are proposed for removal and loading of mineral in tippers/trucks.

The haul/ approach roads will be provided up to the proposed working, site

services, site of dump and site of stock from the nearest tar road.

The mineral is proposed to transport by tractor trolley and tippers.

(4) PROPOSED YEAR WISE PRODUCTION DETAILS OF THE NEXT FIRST FIVE YEARS

The proposed Year-wise production plan for next five years is mentioned in the

(5) LOADING & TRANSPORT

Tyre mounted Hydraulic machinaries will be deployed from time to time as and

when required. Trucks and tracor troley will be deployed for transportation of

masonry stone from working to consumer.

(6) WASTE GENERATION & DISPOSAL

Around 33720 tonnes of waste will be come across during period of mining

plan. The waste will be used in construction and maintenance of approach

roads, construction of site services. The waste also lifted by local habitants for

constructing the walls along the agriculture field.

(7) CONCEPTUAL PLAN

At the end of the five years of mine 3, 10,000 tonnes of Masonry stone (Cheja

Pathar) mineral will be excavated from the lease area . At the five year of life of

mine, total excavated area will be about 0.77 ha, which will be converted in to

water reservoir, 0.01 ha area will be used for storage of top soil which will be

used for plantation, 0.01 ha area for overburden dump, 0.01 ha area used as

roads and 0.10 ha will be covered under greenbelt.

(vi) Raw Material Required Along With Estimated Quantity, Likely Source,

Marketing Area of Final Products, Mode of Transport of Raw Material and

Finished Product

This is Masonry stone (Cheja Patthar) Mining Lease. The mineral will be used

for construction purposes. No raw material will be required to dependent

industries.

(vii) Resources Optimization/ Recycling and Reuse Envisaged in the Project, if

any, should be briefly Outlined

(viii) Availability of Water Its Source, Energy /Power Requirement and Source

A. Water requirement:

Total water requirement for the project will be 3.0 KLD which will be sourced

from nearby villages.

B. Power requirement:

The electric power will not be use for the process of mining. Only HSD Fuel will

be required for operating machineries.

(ix) Quantity of Waste to Be Generated (Liquid and Solid) And Scheme for

Their Management/Disposal:

Domestic sewage water generated from office toilet will be disposed in soak

pits via septic tank.

4.0 SITE ANALYSIS

(i) Connectivity

The lease area about 6.5 km. in East direction from Pahari. Dispensary is available at

Chhapra at distance of 2.5 km. in NE direction and Senior Secondary school is

available at Pahari at distance of 6.5 km. in East direction. Nearest Railway station

is Alwar Railway Station at a distance of ~42.0 km. in SW direction from Mining Lease

area. Nearest Airport is Indra Ghandi International Air Port, New Delhi at a distance of

around ~95 km. in North direction from Mining Lease area.

(ii) Land Form, Land Use and Land Ownership

Existing Land Use Pattern

The total ML area of 1.0 ha comprises of Government Waste Land (Gair Mumkin Pahar).

(iii) Topography

The lease area comprises part of a mount trending north-south. The highest contour is

276 mRL and lowest is 270 mRL. The mining lease area is 1.0 ha which a Government

land (Gair Mumkin Pahar).

(iv) Existing Land Use Pattern {Agriculture, Non-Agriculture, Forest, Water Bodies

There is no building & structure within mining lease area except some

vegetations existing on the lease area which will be cleared when required.

Total lease area is Government Land (Gair Mumkin Pahar).

The lease area about 6.5 km. in East direction from Pahari. Dispensary is

5.0 PLANNING BRIEF

Manpower required will be engaged from nearby areas. No significant influx of

people is anticipated in the area.

(iii) Land Use Planning

The extent of proposed mining lease area is 1.0 ha. The area comprises of

Government Land (Gair Mumkin Pahar). At the five year of life of mine, total

excavated area will be about 0.77 ha, which will be converted in to water

reservoir, 0.01 ha area will be used for storage of top soil which will be used

for plantation, 0.01 ha area for overburden dump, 0.01 ha area used as roads

(iv) Assessment of Infrastructure Demand (Physical & Social)

Lessee will assess the demand of infrastructure (Physical & Social) in nearby

area of the mine site and same will be developed under social work

(v) Amenities/Facilities

Mining Management will develop the Amenities/Facilities in the nearby area of

the mine site as per requirement of local people of the nearby area under

corporate social responsibility programs.

6.0 PROPOSED INFRASTRUCTURE

(i) Residential Area (Non Processing Area)

This is not required as mine workers comes from nearby villages. Rest

shelter to the workers will be provided outside the lease area.

(ii) Green Belt

Green Belt/plantation will be developed equal to 33% of total Mining lease

area. The dead plants will be replaced by fresh plants. Native Plant species

will be planted.

(iii) Connectivity

The lease area about 6.5 km. in East direction from Pahari. Dispensary is

available at Chhapra at distance of 2.5 km. in NE direction and Senior

Secondary school is available at Pahari at distance of 6.5 km. in East

direction. Nearest Railway station is Alwar Railway Station at a distance of

~42.0 km. in SW direction from Mining Lease area. Nearest Airport is Indra

Ghandi International Air Port, New Delhi at a distance of around ~95 km. in

North direction from Mining Lease area.

(iv) Water Management (Source & Supply of water)

Total water requirement for the project will be 3.0 KLD which will be used

for domestic as well as dust supression purpose and sourced from nearby

village .

(v) Sewerage System

Domestic sewage water generated from office toilet will be disposed in soak

pits via septic tank. Outside discharge is not envisaged.

(vi) Industrial Waste Management

No industrial waste water will be generated from this mine during mining

operation.

(vii) Solid Waste Management

Around 33720 tonnes of waste will be come across during period of mining

plan. The waste will be used in construction and maintenance of approach

roads, construction of site services. The waste also lifted by local habitants

for constructing the walls along the agriculture field.

(viii) Power Requirement & Supply/Source

Electric power will not be required in mining operations.

7.0 REHABILITATION AND RESETTLEMENT (R & R) PLAN

8.0 PROJECT SCHEDULE & COST ESTIMATES

The mining activity will be started after obtaining Environmental Clearance

from MoEF, New Delhi and acquiring the valid mining lease from Mines and

Geology Department of the State Government.

Viability of the Project

Cost of the project : Rs. 10 lakh

Cost for Environmental Protection Measures : Rs. 0.5 lakhs

9.0 ANALYSIS OF PROPOSAL

���� The Masonry Mining Lease will result in growth of the surrounding areas by

increasing direct and indirect employment opportunities in the region

including ancillary development and supporting infrastructure. Special

emphasis on Financial and Social benefits will be given to the local people

including tribal population, if any, in the area.

���� Development of social amenities will be in the form of medical facilities,

education to underprivileged and creation of self help groups.

���� No major adverse effect on environment is envisaged as the required

mitigation measures are inbuilt in the project.

10.0 ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT PLAN

10.1.1 AIR POLLUTION CONTROL

���� Wet drilling with sharp drill bits will be done for drilling to reduce generation

of dust.

���� Green Belt will be developed on periphery of the lease boundary and haul

roads,

���� Periodical water spraying on the haul roads will be done.

10.1.2 WATER MANAGEMENT

���� There is no surface water body in and around the mining lease area.

���� The rain water collected in mining pit will be diverted in the abandoned

existing and the area used in spraying.

���� Domestic waste water generated from office toilet will be disposed in soak pits

via septic tank.

10.1.3 NOISE POLLUTION CONTROL

���� Proper maintenance of all machines will be carried out which will reduce noise

generation during operations.

���� Workers exposed to high noise levels will be provided with ear defenders.

10.1.4 LAND RECLAMATION

���� Total mining lease area is 1.0 hectares.

���� At the five year of life of mine, total excavated area will be about 0.77 ha, which

will be converted in to water reservoir, 0.01 ha area will be used for storage of

top soil which will be used for plantation, 0.01 ha area for overburden dump,

0.01 ha area used as roads and 0.10 ha will be covered under greenbelt.

10.1.5 SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT

Waste will be used as a second grade mineral and sold out by the lessee as well as

used for maintenance of roads and top soil will be used for plantation purpose.

10.1.6 GREEN BELT DEVELOPMENT

���� Local species will be preferred for plantation

���� Tree guards will be provided for production
