VISITORS ARE KINDLY REQUESTED...… to leave their backpacks and bags in the cloakroom or in the lockers on the 2ndfloor... not to smoke anywhere in Wunderland except in the designated smoking area next to the passage from the shop to the restaurant... not to take either food or beverages to the layout area on the 3rd and 4th floor... not to touch the layout or any parts of it, including the vehicles, however tempting this may be... but to take pictures and videos as much as they wish. It‘s not only free of charge but explicitly encouraged.

FOR EXPLORERS – OUR PUSH BUTTON ACTIONSMore than 200 push button actions can be found throughout the Wunderland on the railing posts. If the button shows green, the action is started by pushing it. A flashingbuttonindicatesthattheactionisalreadyinprocess.Ifthebuttonshowsred, the action isn‘t working. We can‘t avoid interruptions altogether as every push button action is a complex gimmick built by ourselves. Every morning we runacheckandtrytorepairanyfailureasfastaspossible.Havefunfindingoutfor yourself!

OUR WUNDERLAND We are happy to welcome you today at Miniatur Wunderland. More than 760,000 working hours have gone into hundreds of thousands of details up to now. Sometimes the nicest details are discovered only on second glance, so we suggest that you take a closer look. The Miniature Wunderland is largely based on imagination. Whereas we get our inspiration for the various sections from existing buildings, landscapes etc.,youwillfindthatthelayoutdoesn‘tfollowreality.Forinstance,the„Volkspark“ soccer stadium in Hamburg is located at the foot of the local „Süllberg“ mountain, which is not the case if you look at a map of Hamburg. ThedifferentsectionsreflectverywellthedevelopmentofWunderlandovertheyears.Inourearliestsections,Knuffingen,AustriaandMiddleGermany,you‘llfindmostlyfantasybuildings,butwebecamemoredetailedwithevery further section. In Italy almost every single one of the 500 houses is handmade and painstakingly modeled after an existing building.
