Receive referrals from NAAJAs Prison Support O cers (PSOs) and Indigenous Throughcare Project (ITP) workers and provide general advice to clients at Darwin Correctional Centre and Don Dale Juvenile Detention Centre on legal issues pertaining to prisoner rights Undertake prisoner rights casework in accordance with NAAJA priorities and guidelines as directed by the Advocacy Manager, especially in relation to applications for parole, but also including other prisoner rights issues. Undertake policy and law reform work, predominantly in the area of prisoner rights and Aboriginal incarceration issues, but also in other law reform and policy areas relevant to NAAJAs criminal, civil and family law practices.
