Troubleshooting your modules!

In this section we will try to list the troubleshooting steps that you may want to follow in case if you run into certain errors while using this software or the 2.5

GHz RF module.

This error occurs when you are attempting to Open/Close a port or performing any operations which involves communication through the serial port before you

have evenselectedtheappropriateserial port. Please select the proper COM port before continuing.

This error occurs when you are trying to Send/Receive any data through the serial port before opening it. Please open the COM port first before you can

send/receive any data.

This error occurs when you try to use the COM port even when it is in use by any other applications. Please close those applications before you can continue.

This error occurs if the COM port that has been selected has a number that is greater thanCOM16. Robosoft Systems 2.4 GHz RF Modulecan work with

COM ports numbering from COM1 to COM16. You have to change the COM port number of your hardware device before you can continue. This is a fatal error and you

would have to restart the application once again after you have changed the COM port.

If you have any problem in sending or reciving packets or bytes, you can use the HyperTerminal provided by Windows. To know how to use

HyperTerminal, please click here(requires internet connection).
