Proceedings
Day-1
The training session was started at 9:00am. After formally
introduction by all participants
I shared the objective for this survey and its impacts for
further planning of future
strategies. I also introduced my co trainer Mr. Javid Iqbal.
After that I introduced ITA and its objectives and then about
ASER survey. I told that
ASER is the name of Survey that is conducted in Pakistan as well
as in District Kasur
here it is conducted under the supervision of me.
After that I discussed that;
How to collect information about the village?
What to do in a village?
How to select HHs?
What to do in each Hamlet?

He explained that with the volunteer all the basic info and data
will be taken on the
provided format. Then he told that how we will prepare map of a
village. He added that
the major purpose of mapping is to estimate about village's
bazaar and houses in the
village. He added that first of all village will be divided into
four main parts and each
main part is called hamlet, and in each hamlet 5 H/H will be
selected. After an activity of
map preparation was conducted and presented in front of
participants. After lunch
break, I took the last session in which I practically showed
that;
How to fill household’s sheets.
How to fill disability and school sheets.
I further explained that 30 villages will be selected in a
district. Test will be conducted
from the age of 5-16 year child in each selected house
hold.(Eng., Urdu, Math,
G.K).Then Socio-Economic information will be collected on the
provided format.
Furthermore one Govt. School and one Pvt. School will be
selected and all the related
information and data will be taken. After that in next segment
Mr. Javid Iqbal delivered a
briefed lecture over the following content.
What to do in each household.
How to test children.
How to prepare mapping of the village/hamlet.

Day-2
The day-2 of training was started by Mr. Muddsar Akher and
discussed that we will go
into a nearest location to conduct pilot survey. So four groups
made (Group-A Group-B
Group-C and Group-D).Then all the groups travelled and conducted
pilot survey and
learned all the required information to complete the survey,
after that Come back to
training venue and took lunch break. After that I took the
session which he got feedback
and mock presentation.
Further a session was also done in which problems and queries
about field survey were
shared, and solutions were found for better performance.
Day-3
The day-3 was started by Mr. Muddsar Akher .He got feedback of
the whole 2 days
contents of the training including ASER Survey.
Following points were discussed in detailed:
How to do mapping
How to fill up house hold sheets
How to fill up Govt., Pvt. School Data sheet

How to fill up compilation sheet
How to Monitor the volunteers
How to fill up monitoring sheets during follow up of
volunteers
Then after break, He asked to various trainees to come on the
front side and gave
presentation for the revision and better Understanding. All the
participants performed
very well.
At the end of last day training material of survey was
distributed among the volunteers
and they were given date of data submission which was
31-10-2018.
The 3days training session came to an end with the hope that
every volunteer will
collect data within given dates. All the trainees left the hall
with the promise to work with
complete sense of devotion.
