This course provides doctors with the foundation to offer predictable implant therapy for their patients, whether they are novices to implant therapy in their own practices or while working with other clinicians in the team setting with various levels of experience. Treatment planning, implant selection, and restorative philosophies are the main aspects of the course to allow doctors to feel comfortable providing implant therapy through workflows that complement their existing protocols. Science and research are utilized to shape the foundation by which doctors will make clinical choices in both surgical and prosthetic phases of treatment. Objectives All participants should become knowledgeable in the following: Treatment planning and NobelClinician® Digital treatment planning and utilization of 3D imaging Implant selection and placement Hands-on Implant planning from simple to complex Implant abutment selection Utilizing implant tools (torque wrenches, copings, abutments) Hands-on Impression techniques Hands-on Cement-retained prostheses Screw-retained prostheses Provisional restorations Hands-on Proper cementation techniques Implant occlusion Prerequisites: This course is for dentists who are looking to expand their knowledge base in dental implantology with new innovations and foundational information. Sundeep Rawal, DMDDr. Sundeep Rawal graduated in 2002 from the University of Florida with a bachelor of science in microbiology and cell science and a minor in business administration. He continued his education at the UF College of Dentistry and earned his doctorate of dental medicine in May 2006. In 2009 he completed his training in prosthodontics at the University of California San Francisco.

Dr. Rawal has worked extensively to utilize CAD/CAM technologies within the scope of clinical dentistry and enhance his patients’ restorative treatments. He has lectured extensively across the US as well as internationally. Member affiliations include the American College of Prosthodontics, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. He is currently in private practice in central Florida serving Orlando and east to the Beaches.

Bobby Birdi, DMD, MSc Dr. Bobby Birdi received his dental degree from the University of Saskatchewan and his postgraduate specialty training in both periodontics and prosthodontics from the University of Minnesota. He is a fellow and examiner for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a diplomate of both the American Board of Periodontology and the American Board of Prosthodontics. Dr. Birdi is an adjunct assistant professor at the University of British Columbia and the University of Minnesota, where he is involved in research projects and clinical trials. Dr. Birdi also lectures internationally on perio-prosthetic implant therapy.

Dr. Birdi is presently the director of the Pacific Institute for Advanced Dental Education, which is a learning academy for fellow dentists. He practices at the BC Perio Dental Health & Implant Centres in Vancouver and Coquitlam. His practice focuses on comprehensive periodontal and prosthetic treatment with a major focus on esthetics and implant dentistry.

Saj Jivraj, DDS, MSEdDr. Saj Jivraj earned his BDS at the University of Manchester, and was then accepted at the world-renowned Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California (USC), where he received his certification in prosthodontics.

Dr. Jivraj currently is on the editorial board of the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, is the ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, and is associate clinical editor for Dental Teamwork magazine. He has published numerous articles on cosmetic and implant dentistry in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Jivraj also holds faculty positions as an associate clinical professor at the USC School of Dentistry, clinical teacher at the Eastman Dental Institute in London, and is on the board of directors for the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry.

Dr. Jivraj currently resides over a private practice in Oxnard, California, that specializes in cosmetic and implant dentistry.
