Francis BRUNN was born on October 15, 1846 in Pusheta Township, Allen/Auglaize County, Ohio. He was one of a set of triplets. I am uncertain of their birth order, so he was either the second, third, or fourth of six known children born to John BRUNN and Catherine KLIPFEL.

Francis BRUNN married Catherine WARMUTH on April 16, 1872, in Fryburg, Pusheta Township, Auglaize County, Ohio. Catherine WARMUTH was the oldest of ten children born to Bavarian immigrants, Michael and Barbara (KILIAN) WARMUTH. She was born in Pusheta Township, on October 26, 1847. Francis BRUNN was a farmer.

Catherine (WARMUTH) BRUNN died on June 18, 1896 in Fryburg, Ohio. She is buried in Rupert Cemetery.

According to his death certificate, Francis BRUNN died of “General Paralysis and old age”, on August 15, 1923, at 7:40 A.M., at the home of his son, Michael BRUNN in Wapakoneta, Ohio. He is buried in Rupert Cemetery.

Francis and Catherine (WARMUTH) BRUNN had eight children between 1873 and 1887.

Listed below, she was living with her son, Joseph, age 35, and his wife Catherine (ELDER) WARMUTH, who were married just one month before the census was taken. This census also shows that Barbara (KILIAN) WARMUTH immigrated in 1846, and that she had ten children, six of whom were living in 1900.

BRUNN was born on January 6,1875 in Sidney, Shelby County, Ohio. She was the second of eight children born to Francis and Catherine (WARMUTH) BRUNN.

Catherine A. BRUNN married Michael Edward SCHNEIDER on October 23,1894 in St. John’s Catholic Church in Fryburg, Ohio. Michael Edward SCHNEIDER was born on October 23,1870, in Pusheta Township, Ohio. He was the second of twelve children born to Michael M. and Catherine (MESSMER) SCHNEIDER.

Catherine A. (BRUNN) SCHNEIDER’s highest level of education completed was the eighth grade.

Michael Edward SCHNEIDER and Catherine A. (BRUNN) SCHNEIDER farmed near Botkins, Ohio (possibly his father’s farm?) - and later bought the farm on Kettlersville Road that is now Donald Brautigam’s.

Michael Edward SCHNEIDER died on September 14,1935 in the hospital in Dayton, Ohio, after a fall from a hay wagon at his farm near Botkins. He died nine days before his 65th birthday. He is buried with his wife in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Wapakoneta.

Catherine A. (BRUNN) SCHNEIDER died November 9,1959 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Mary SCHNEIDER. Catherine A. (BRUNN) SCHNEIDER moved there shortly after the death of Michael Edward SCHNEIDER. She is buried with her husband in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.

He was one of nine children born to Mathias EISERT and German immigrant, Theresia (GUTMANN) EISERT (page A7).

Obituary of Mary F. (BRUNN) EISERT:Services for Mrs. Mary F. Eisert, 81, Wapakoneta, widow of J. Michael Joseph BRUNN married Maria Magdalena ZWIEBEL on May 16, 1906 in Auglaize County, Ohio. Maria Magdalena ZWIEBEL was born on February 23, 1883 in Pusheta Township, Auglaize County, Ohio, the daughter of Louis and Kate (KIES) ZWIEBEL. The 1918 WW2 Draft Registration Card showed that Michael Joseph BRUNN had medium height, medium build, blue eyes and brown hair.

BRUNN was born on May 9, 1883 in __________, Ohio. He was the sixth of eight children born to Francis and Catherine (WARMUTH) BRUNN.

The 1940 Census listed John BRUNN’s highest grade of education completed as the fourth grade.

John BRUNN died in the Dayton State Hospital (formerly the Dayton State Insane Hospital), on November 30, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio. His cause of death was “Syphilitic Myositis due to General Paresis”, (a problem with mental function due to damage to the brain from untreated syphilis). His Death Certificate lists his usual occupation as “Farmer”, and his length of stay in the Dayton State Hospital is listed as 21 years, 6 months, and 21(?) days. This means he was admitted to the Dayton State Hospital around the age of 24.

The 1920 U.S. Census shows Joseph H. BRUNN as single, living with his brother Michael’s family in Wapakoneta. Joseph H. BRUNN’s WW1 Draft Registration Card shows that he was of medium height, medium build, with blue eyes and light hair. He was employed then at Lymon & Son Restaurant in Wapakoneta.

On Janusry 6, 1925, Joseph H. BRUNN married Theresia B. (HUDSON) KELLY, the daughter of William HUDSON and Rhoda BOLTZ. Their Marriage Record shows that she was divorced.

Joseph H. BRUNN died of influenza, on December 20, 1930, in Wapakoneta, Ohio. He was living at 108 East Mechanic Street at the time of his death. His death certificate lists his occupation as a clerk in a restaurant.

A Theresia BRUNN is listed in the 1940 Census as Widowed, living in Dayton Ohio. I’m not sure if this is the same Theresia BRUNN.
