CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
From the review of related literature and
studies, the researcher may formulate a
theoretical scheme for his research problem. This scheme is a tentative explanation or
theoretical explanation of the phenomenon or
problem and serves as the basis for the
formulation of research objectives/assumptions.

CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
Thus, the conceptual framework consists of the
investigators own position on a problem after his
exposure to various theories that have bearing on
the problem. It is the researchers new model which has its roots
on the previous models which the researcher had
studied.

CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
The conceptual framework becomes the
central theme, the focus, the main thrust of
the study.
It serves as a guide in conducting the
system/software development.

CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
A paradigm is a diagrammatic
representation of a conceptual framework.
It depicts in a more vivid way what theconceptual framework wants to convey.
A paradigm may take differentdiagrammatic forms.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
General Objectives
An expanded reiteration of the thesis title / research project.
The acceptable statement of the general objectives is suchthat it is stated in precise terms to be broken down intospecific objectives.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
Specific Objectives
Expresses (concisely and clearly) the what, where, who,why and how of the subject inquiry.
It should be specific, measurable, realistic, & attainable.
Specific objectives should be presented logically andexpected to provide general solution to the general objectives.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY:
GUIDELINES
Generally, there should be a general objectives ofthe study and then broken up into as many sub-
objectives as necessary. The general objectives of the study and the
specific sub-objectives should be formulated firstbefore conducting the research project.
Each specific objectives must be clear andunequivocal, that is, it has only one meaning. Itmust not have dual meanings.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY:
GUIDELINES
Answer to each specific objectives mustcontribute to the development of the wholeresearch problem or topic.
Summing up the answers to all the specificobjectives will give a complete development ofthe entire study.
The number of specific objectives should beenough to cover the development of the wholeresearch problem or study.

SCOPE AND DELIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY:
GUIDELINES
A brief statement of the general purpose of the
study. (expanded reiteration of the general
objective) The subject matter and topics studied and
discussed. (systems transactions coverage,
features & functionalities)
The locale of the study, where the data were
gathered or the entity to which the data belong.
(company/dept/sect/group)

DELIMITATIONS AND LIMITATIONS
Delimitations are the weaknesses of the
study prescribed by the researcher due to
acceptable circumstance / valid reasons.
Limitations are the weaknesses of the study
beyond the control of the researcher.
