SCRIPTS

EXERCISE A (Attitude 1 Workbook CD Track 27 Unit 5)

Anne: Do you shop on the Net, Laura?

Laura: No, never.

Anne: Never? But don’t you buy plane tickets on the Internet?

Laura: Oh, yes, actually I do. I always buy tickets for traveling on the Internet: plane, train, bus

tickets… So, I guess I sometimes shop on the Internet. What about you?

Anne: Actually, I usually shop on the Internet. I buy CDs from The CD Store, books from Amazon,

and all my clothes from a couple of sites I like.

Laura: Do you buy shoes on the Internet?

Anne: No, not shoes. I prefer to go to a store. But I order food from an online supermarket.

Laura: Really? Isn’t it expensive?

Anne: Maybe, but it’s more convenient.

Laura: Oh, I prefer to go to a store to buy food. I want to see the food I buy.

EXERCISE B (World English 1 Unit 6 Lesson B CD not available)

Mick: Hey, Glenn. How was Orlando?

Glenn: Great.

Mick: Come on then, tell me all about it! How many theme parks did you visit?

Glenn: Mmm, three I think. Let me see. First we went to Disney World and then Universal Studios. Yes, and then Sea World. Yes,

three.

Mick: Come on. Tell me more!

Glenn: Well, Disney World was OK. I liked the Downtown Disney show; that was cool. But I didn’t like Sea World. Fish, fish and more

fish.

Mick: But what about Universal Studios. Did you see the Harry Potter exhibition?

Glenn: Harry Potter. No, thanks. That’s for kids. But I went to the Islands of Adventure. Now that was something. We took a ride called

the Incredible Hulk Coaster. I can’t describe it. You have to try it for yourself.

Mick: Oh, I would love to. You lucky, guy.

FEEDBACK

1) All units corresponding to PT3 (7-8-9-10) were reviewed.

2) Listening Comprehension B: nro.5 I wrote “gets” instead of “buys” so as not to repeat the same

word appearing in the script.

3) First Reading Comprehension: I wrote “always” instead of “usually” in nro. 4 to avoid confusion.

4) Unscramble the sent.: In nro. 2 I added “10 a.m.” to make the question more similar to the

statements appearing in the Student’s Book.
