The Transnational Partnership of the SEE TCP Project “SAGITTARIUS,

Launching (g)local level heritage entrepreneurship: strategies and tools to

unite forces, safeguard the place, mobilize cultural values, deliver the

experience”, Priority 4 “Development of Transnational Synergies for

Sustainable Growth Areas”, Area of Intervention 3: “Promote the Use of

Cultural Values for Development”, funded by the South East Europe

Transnational Cooperation Programme, is happy to announce that the 2nd

Trasnational Meeting and 2nd Transnational Study Visit took place in Venice

on the 14th, 15th and 16th of June 2012.

The LP, University of the Aegean (Greece) and ERDF PP2,

Municipalities Union of Sinello (Italy), through a fruitful cooperation, united

their forces in order to provide the best possible results.

The 2nd Transnational Project Committee Meeting (Steering Group

Committee, Quality Control Committee, and Technical Committee) discussed

and solved a series of topics related to both the physical and financial object

of the Project, ensuring successful solutions towards the mplementation of the

Project.

The 2nd Transnational Study Visit was devoted to Know-How Transfer

and identification of malpractices to be avoided in the domain of cultural

heritage and more specifically in regards to cultural consumption onsite. The

2nd TSV focused on:

• selected phenomena in situ to make PPs understand value types and

use of cultural assets (tangible/intangible heritage) within the

philosophy of sustainable development (1 onsite teaching session

per visit);

• Transnational aspects shall provide new insights on

malpractice/good practice in favour of the Partnership focusing on

the values of protection, conservation, management, interpretation.

Uses of cultural values for development include accessibility to

assets, management of leisure time and production of information of

tourism value, all vital factors for Pilot Projects (WP7);

• 1 joint Evaluation Workshop has fine tuned experiences acquired in

situ resulting in practical recommendations for Pilot Projects

(Act.7.2) and future Projects across the SEE.
