Vizag Round Table 77 was inaugurated on the 14th of August 1983 and

chartered on the 18th of December 1983. It was sponsored by the Vijayawada

round table 68. VRT 77 further went on to sponsor three tables in the city of

destiny, Visakhapatnam; as follows:

We believe that, with fellowship comes everything else, all the facets of tabling.

This quarter has seen some all round performances in all the facets of tabling at

VRT 77. Fellowship as the fore-runner, Community service, Twinklers activities

and Publicity with little bit of Go Green activity and RTI Week celebrations forms

this quarter report.

Tr.Naveen wins “Tu Mera Hero” pin , a special recognition for the

stupendous work under “Project Assam”.

VRT 77 gets special recognition at 51st NAGM for “Project Assam”.

Tr.GVS Ramayya wins the Super Secretary award for the 1st quarter of

2012-13.

Twlkr.Sameeksha Agarwal (Tr.Rajesh Agarwal’s daughter) and Twlkr.

Parinati Khara (Sq.Leg Aanand Khara’s daughter) were runner ups for the

DID competition held across RTI .

MEETINGS:

On the administration front regular meetings have been held as per the

guidelines of RTI Blue book. A total of 6 meetings were held during this quarter.

Sufficient days notice , sms’s etc were sent to all tablers and sq.legs prior

conducting the meeting.

To make the discussions more interesting , theme meeting were conducted ie

Lagaan meeting , Gandhiji’s meeting etc. Tablers were supposed to dress up for

the meeting as per the theme else Sergeants take good care of all defaulters.

“Kings of Fellowship” is what we are called not only across RTI but also at RT

International esp. after winning the Best Fellowship Table at ASPA 2012 at

Mumbai.

No stone was left over when it comes to fellowship activities…. to name a few ;

The Gabbar Singh social hosted by Tr.Jaydeep for the area fellowship basket , the

National Fellowship celebrations held at Vihar , the Santa party goes to

bollywood , the 3B fellowship , 30th Charter Day celebrations , the rascal

fellowships , birthday celebrations , cards fellowships , inhouse party , flash

fellowships etc and many more.

Detailed report as follows :

5th Oct :

Old wine in new bottle. Actress Sridevi returns to the silver screen and 77ers did

not waste any time. A total of 22 heads attended the movie fellowship “English

Vinglish” at Varun Inox.

7th Oct:

“Draw India Draw” was organized at Chairman Tr.Dr. Raghu’s residence. While

the twinklers were busy exhibiting their painting skills, the parents were busy

with their own plans. Being a Sunday, it was a wonderful area event organized

very well. More details in twinklers corner.

10th Oct :

Flash fellowship….. Two nominations for the national head board 2013-14 from

VRT 77. The much awaited nomination forms were finally sent to RTI and it was

time to celebrate. All the tablers spent the evening at Waltair club lawns with lots

of cheers around.

11th Oct :

Tr.Rahul, Area Publicity convener celebrated his birthday at Eleven restaurant.

Good gathering to celebrate the bachelor boy bday. Later in the day, all the

tablers were invited by Sq.Leg Krishna Kumar (charter chairman) for celebrating

his 60th birthday at Four Points.

13th Oct :

Tr.Devesh celebrated his birthday. The birthday boy invited all the tablers of

Vizag to “Eleven” for high tea with the wide range of new snacks introduced

recently. Later in the day, all the tablers with their ladies were invited by Tr.

Jaydeep to Park hotel for the fellowship at Aqua

Fellowship post meeting at Chrome. Being a Sunday all the ladies were also

invited for the meeting followed by lunch. However the best part was the ruckus

by the 213 on the head table to wear lungis till the end the fellowship.

18th Oct :

Chrome calling…………….. Mid week blues fellowship over drinks and dinner.

Being a weekday the total number was less, but the people who attended the

fellowship did not leave any stone unturned.

19th Oct:

A good turn out to the movie “Student of the year” at Varun Inox. Post movie all

the members went back straight to their respective house without any additional

enjoyement.

Wife not in town and our Sq.Leg D.S.Anand invited the entire table with the ladies

to his residence over dinner and drinks. The cool weather, Nawabi biryani and 77

family formed the rest of the day. The evening started with people enjoying the

weather on the terrace and once the clocks ticked 11’; the entire crowd formed a

huge circle and cards session was on. The fellowship continued till 3 am.

The first social of the year has to be special and Tr.Jaydeep just made it special.

The iconic movie SHOLAY made its way to the Park hotel to take over the

Fellowship basket from VVRT 213. The arrangements that were made for the

social were just fantastic and impeccable. One has to witness the same to actually

experience the great evening which was enjoyed by all.

Tr.Dr.Raghu appreciated the efforts put in by the VVRT 213 in preparing an

excellent fellowship basket with customized gifts to all the tablers.

Movie fellowship with all the 4 tables for the movie “Sky Fall” at Jagadamba

theatre was held. This was the first time that all the four tables have come

toghther for such occasion.

9th Nov :

Tr.Abhishek’s bday was celebrated in style followed by rascal at HT.Dharmaraju

Cheruku’s residence.

The big day…………………Fellowship Day. It was celebrated in style with all

(four) table fellowship at Vihar. Wonderful time spent by all with 41ers , tablers

and their wives of all the tables under one roof. With cool breeze and lovely

music the evening was just perfect to be relished by all. Almost full attendance

from the table with the ladies and the 41ers was witnessed. Tr.Shashank and

Tr.Diwakar Mundra were the host’s of the evening on behalf of VRT 77.

Amid all the wonderful celebrations , Sunita Agarwal celebrated her birthday. A

cake was organized on behalf of the table.

Well……..18th Dec was just a day in his life. Not anymore now , as he is occupying

one of the highest position at RTI .

The day started with the movie screening for all the RTI school kids at Kinnera

theatre. 300 plus kids were taken to the theatre to enjoy the movie “Camera

Ganga tho Rambabu”. During interval all the kids were fed with snacks and soft

drinks.

The happy moment just got transformed and the Chairman just could not resist

anymore and called for flash fellowship at Waltair Club over drinks and dinner. If

everything goes on so smooth , no tabler is satisfied. And this time the bakara was

Tr.Jaydeep Biswas. Rascal fellowship followed at his office and continued till early

hours. The enjoyment was just getting better.

The fellowship basket leaves Vizag and reaches Guntur………..

Couple of tablers left from Vizag by bus and reached Guntur the early morning.

The basket was handed over to Guntur Round Table 86 in the afternoon. The

basket was prepared with lots of thinking and which reflects the culture in the

south. Same was graciously accepted by the GRT 86 and appreciated the efforts

of 77.

On completion of the fellowship basket , 2nd AEX followed which was attended

and later in the night all attended the Retro night hosted by Vijayawada Round

Table 68. Wonderful time and everyone had a blast.

Movie fellowship for the movie “Taalash” attended by all the four tables in Vizag

at Varun’s Inox.

Saturday nights are always special. The fellowship team this time made it to Park

hotel to witness an English murder play “Murder me always” followed by

cocktails and dinner.

restaurant during lunch.

Tr.Rajesh and Sunita Agarwal invited the entire table for their new house warming

function which was attended by almost the entire table with families. The house

was well constructed as expected , but the best was the authentic Marwari food

which was relished by all.

“Art of Living”by Mrs.Bital Kakkar was organised at Tr.Rajesh’s new house.

Actually the table created a reason to have a get together at his residence.

Excellent HR followed by cards session and tasty food embedded the night.

3B Fellowship – Bike , Babes and Bajji ……..nooooooo……….. The creator of this

fellowship ; Chairman Tr.Dr.Raghu renamed it as……..……… Bike , babes and

bonfire.

The bike ride started at 5 PM and the stretch was just over 25 kms from the city

towards the coastline enjoying the cool breeze. Once the ride was done , the

gang assembled at Vihar ; an exotic hill top restaurant to enjoy the bonfire

settling on the mattress , in open air over drinks and some fire magic. Just too

good to be missed out.

experience. Proud moment to be called as 77ner.

Well the party of the 30th Charter day celebrations were going on, but this person

called Tr.Jaydeep was missing for making arrangements to surprise his wife on

her birthday. And the party went on till 2 am……

Santa goes to bollywood………………….. The 4th edition of the Sexy Santa party

was so popular that the cricket match between Hyderabad tables and Vizag

tables was rescheduled on this day not to just play cricket but also for some area

fellowship. The party was hosted by the NFC Tr.Ameet alongwith Tr.Dr.Raghu ,

Tr.Shrawan and Tr.Chitra at Tr.Ameet’s residence.

The party had everything from the start till the end. Valet parking , red carpet ,

Christmas trees , Santa clause , gifts ……… not to forgot lots of drinks and live

kitchen counter. The hosts have made some wonderful arrangements to entertain

all those who were there. The night started with some dance bits , followed by

releasing of “Pearl” magazine – 1st issue by Area Chairman Tr.Kishore. Once

the official funda was done , Tr.Ameet gave away prizes to all those special

people who were nominated by the crowd. And rest as they say …….. Saturday

night…………. Good reason to party hard. The party went on till next day

morning. Do not remember the time , as people were partying till 6 am and on…..

Wannacome at Coimbatore calling……………… Two 77ers in the head table of

2013-14 ; Tr.Deepak and Tr.Dr.Raghu as NVP and NTTE.

Nov 18th :

As a part of the RTI Week program , the family of 77 assembled at St Joseph old

age home for feeding all the inmates with not only declivous food but some

scintillating performances by tabler’s and their wives. Few of them danced and

few sung songs. But the ultimate objective was achieved. Smiles on the

inhabitants face. That one moment , all the people who attended felt that they

achieved something today. Bringing smiles back on the faces of all the people

living in the old age home was so touchy moment that will be cherished for long

time to come.

Nov 18th :

As a part of the RTI Week celebrations , clothes were donated to the St Joseph

home of HIV for the Kids in Parvatipuram.

Nov 19th :

As a part of the RTI Week , breakfast was sponsored by Tr.Dr.Raghu for the kids

of the Madurawada blind school. Later in the day , all the tablers have assembled

at the Vasant Bala School for the inauguration of the Septic tank constructed by

table alongwith few other interiors fixed for the school building as per their

requirement.

Nov 20th :

One theatre ,one telugu movie , 300 plus students and group of tablers and ladies

formed a deadly proportion of what one felt the best program of the RTI till date

held by the table. The fun , frolic was just unlimited. It was there for the taking. All

the students enjoyed the movie and were fed with drinks and snacks in the movie

break. Truly this one program was priceless and will be remembered for a very

long time.

Later in the day , couple of tablers went to YMCA street children society in the

evening to distribute sweets and snacks for the kids. This program was being

conducted for the last so many years and the kids were just waiting for us to come

down to interact.

21st Nov :

A donation of Rs. 3 lakhs to Maya Foundation was done towards “First Smile” as

promised earlier. The same handed over to Dr.Shiv during the press conference

at RTI Vasant Bala School.

A team of three members from “Allergo Capital Advisors P Ltd.,” have a HR on

Wealth Management in the meeting. The presentation was majorly focusing on

investment patterns for oneself and the family. Various examples were taken to

explain the investments needs to be done in Debt , Equity and other funds.

A very nice HR to all the young tablers of 77 who are looking for investments for

long term and short term benefits.

Save Water, Save Earth, Go Green - these were the messages by Kids. I’m sure

Earth will be a better place …. sooner.

“Draw India Draw” (DID) , an area twinklers event was held at Tr.Dr.Raghu’s

residence from evening 5 pm onwards. What an event it was. Wow. ….. The

complete place was so colorful with full of ideas , colors and lots of noise.

Oct 26th:

Twlkr. Vishnu celebrated his birthday and the table has sent cake of his favourite

choice.

Nov 14th :

The idea was to get the kids together and do what they want to do.

It was noticed that the kids did not know each other by the names. So a game was

designed instantly to make all the Kids remember the name of all the other kids.

Then the Kids were asked to show their acrobatic skills with the Hoopla.

Samyukta Agarwal (Tr. Rajesh Agarwal’s daughter) could keep the Hoopla

spinning for 30 seconds.

The kids then watch a movie - DUMBO. The main character is Jumbo Jr. - an

elephant who is cruelly nicknamed DUMBO. He is ridiculed for his big ears, but

in the end he is capable of flying by using his ears as wings. Finally the food was

served which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Dec 24th :

The Convener went to each and every tablers house to give away presents to all

the twinklers. All these gifts were personalised with the respective twinklers

photo. A great way to make all the kids happy on this special day.

Dec 29th :

Twlkr.Harshita celebrated her birthday. A cake of her favourite flavour was sent

to her on this special day of hers.

A total of 79 sets of Diyas were sold and have raised Rs.19750/- out of the sales

proceeds. All these Diyas were prepared by the twinklers with the help of the

ladies.

1 set each of the Diyas were sent to National President and National Twinkler

convener which was also posted in the RTI blog.

Apart from the above , Tr.Devesh Gupta has announced to contribute an amount

of Rs.200/- to the table for each and every membership card sold by “Eleven”

restaurant. Any person holding this card are entitled for special discounts at the

restaurant.

Nov 14th – Nov 21st :

Following were done under Publicity during RTI Week :

- Banners were kept various places with RTI logos about the schools.

- All the kids were wearing RTI logo stickers during the movie screening done

for the kids.

- Each and every program being held during RTI week had flexis being

installed at various place with small brief up about RTI.

- All the tablers were wearing RTI shirts for all the events along with the pins.

21st Nov :

Press Meet was organised at Vasanta Bala School for donation of Rs. 3 lakhs to

Maya Foundation as promised earlier. Same derived lot of publicity with

coverage in major papers.

Nov 17th :

On the eve of the National Fellowship Day , all the four tables have set the sky up

with lots of lanterns representing global peace. The convener also discussed

future plans of action which will be intimated to all upon finalisation of the

programs.

Dec 18th :

On the eve of the 30th Charter day celebrations , Bonsai plants were given us

token of love from the Chairman to all the Sq.Legs , visting tablers , Area board

members and National board members during the meeting.

30 years of the table history saw three new tables getting extended in the city of

destiny ;Visakhapatnam.

For the very first time , the VRT 77 is crossing the border by extending a new

table in Singapore. The new table is scheduled to be inaugurated on 6th April

2013. Details will be announced by RTI.

the sexy Santa Social through the Hands of Area Chairman

The Secretary has been sending all the emails , notifications , updates received to

the table on time to time. All minutes have been circulated to all across RTI within

24 hours on completion of the meeting. Even the minutes are updated on MOMO

on regular basis.

“Aspiring to Inspire” ………… is the theme adopted by the Chairman for his year.

Truly he is the inspiration for many tablers across RTI. In a short span of 5 years as

tabler, he held positions at Area and National level. All tablers back home at

Vizag are very happy and excited to see him in the national board as Table talk

editor for the year 2013-14. Kudos to this wonderful person.
