Colouring in competition: Colouring in sheets plus Book Fair brochures will go home today for the Book Fair. This will give you time to do your best work as sheets will need to be returned after the holidays. They will be judged at the Book Fair which is on Thursday 9th August. Winners will receive a prize!
SRC Jersey Day: The Student Representative Council will be hosting a ‘Jersey Day” this Wednesday 4th July. Students will be required to support our SRC! Please bring a gold coin donation to go towards new resources and equipment for our school.
Jump Rope for Heart: This term students have been involved in the Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser which has helped increase their understanding of healthy bodies and healthy hearts, as well as improving their fitness, learning new skills and most importantly having fun. This Wednesday marks the end of our fundraiser with a "Jump Off". Our students will be participating in a whole school fitness circuit followed by a chance to showcase their new skills. Parents are welcome to come as either spectators or helpers. Our fundraising efforts are greatly appreciated by those needing life saving medical assistance, and we are currently sitting on over $300. If you haven't already returned your fundraising to the office, please do so by Wednesday. Mrs Osterloh

Mr Burkitt’s Message
I find it hard to believe that it is Week 10 already. My first
term at Bonville seems to have flown by. I feel like it was
only a few weeks ago that I was introducing myself to
the school and trying to learn all of the students names.
Congratulations to all the students who received ribbons
for finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th at the school athletics
carnival. Students who are 8 years and older who re-
ceived an individual 1st, 2nd or 3rd ribbon have qualified
for the District PSSA carnival which will be held at the
International Stadium next term. Notes will be handed
out in Week 1 next term.
During Proud Moments this morning we discussed
‘resilience’ and its importance. Many of our children
have demonstrated resilience in recent weeks. A per-
son’s ability to bounce back from adversity or when
things don’t go to plan is a strength that is so important
in the 21st Century.
At this week’s assembly the School Captains will present
the first of their new awards. The four awards will be
selected by the captains based on positive citizenship
that they witness throughout the week.
The term will conclude this Friday 6 July for the mid-year
break and will resume for students on Tuesday, 24 July.
Teachers and staff will return on Monday for a day of
professional learning.
Please encourage your children to read during the holi-
day break and keep practising their number facts. This
could include ‘Friends of Ten’ for Kindergarten students
or Multiplication facts for Years 5 and 6 or something in
between. I will be asking the children this week to set a
personal goal to achieve during the holidays.
Please have a wonderful holiday break and if you are
travelling please drive safely.
Have a great week and holiday.
