    ELA Scholars will read and answer questions based on a passage.

    Math Scholars will receive assignments connected to the content taught.

    Spelling Scholars will choose 1 option each night from the spelling menu.

    Social Studies Scholars will receive 1 assignment per quarter.

    Writing Scholars will receive 2 assignments per week.

  • Spelling Words & Menu Choice

    1). A-B-C Order

    Put all words in ABC order.

    Example:

    Apple, Banana, Coconut, Grape, Pineapple

    2).

    BIGGEST to smallest Put each spelling word in order from

    biggest to smallest. (Hint)

    Count the letters in each word first. The word with the most letters goes first.

    3). Write A Sentence

    Write a sentence using each spelling word an underline the spelling word.

    Example:

    The girl was first in line.

    4). Rhymes

    Write each spelling word, then write a rhyming word underneath it.

    Example: light

    bright 5).

    5 Times Each Write each spelling word 5 times each.

    Example:

    why, why, why, why, why

    6). Vowels & Consonant

    Write each spelling word 3 times each. (red vowels and blue consonants)

    Example: coconut

    coconut, coconut, coconut 7).

    Pyramid Words Write each spelling word, adding just one extra letter per row tomake a pyramid.

    Example: c ca cap

    8).

    Amazing Story Write a 1 paragraph story

    using each spelling word and underline the spelling words.
