    Dear Colleague,

Good news! As you may know, the coalition government has

announced that the NDA has received a budget of 3billionper

annum including commercial income to continue with the UK

nuclear decommissioning programme. According to the NDAs draft

business strategy, 2.7billion will be spent on site programmes

whilst 200 million will be spent on non-siteprogrammes includingskills development, socio-economic, research and development

and implementing geological disposal. Although the industry

isexperiencingflatfunding, it is clear that the governmentis

    committedtothedecommissioningprogramme.This is your

timemorethanever to ensure you equip yourself with the tools,

    servicesandknowledgerequiredtotakeasliceinthistough

    industry.

The industry has and still is going through some major changes

as a result of the latest announcements and with new build

in sight it begs the question of what is the future for nuclear

    decommissioning?

How will site prioritisation affect current projects?

How will the industry maintain low priority sites in the interim?

Is there a need to invest in new technology or should we just get

on with the job at hand?

Where do the commercial opportunities lie?

Given the current funding constraints, is there a way of

maintaining continuity in the supply chain?

With new build in site, why stay in decommissioning?

If youre an SLC, you need to shop around for the best and most

cost effective solutions as well as learn about new ideas which

could positively shape future decommissioning plans. If youre a

Tier 1, 2, or 3 contractor you need to know more than ever how

to sell yourself in the best possible way to ensure you win futurecontracts.

    NuclearEnergyInsiders 2nd Annual Nuclear Decommissioning

Conference is an interactiveplatform, dedicated to ensuring that

    these practicalquestionsareansweredanddiscussed. It will

    equip you with the latestbusinessintelligence,up-todatecase

studies and essentialguidelinesto help you formulate a business

strategy which will ensure you overcome the current funding

constraints. I hope you can join us in Manchester next April for a

unique opportunity to hear from and network with over 120 senior

industry executives from across the supply chain.
