The folks at Diamond T would like to thank you for your interest in our cattle! The beef market is having one of the best years we can recall in a long time and we are feeling very positive about the future of the markets. With the cow herd numbers being low across all of North America, we know breeders are looking for some functional and profitable females to add to their herds. Thank you to all of our 2013 buyers; we have enjoyed hearing about and watching the success of the females purchased by Junior & 4-H members as well as our fellow purebred breeders. This year we are even more optimistic about our offerings in the 2nd Annual Diamond Mine Online Sale! We feel we have put together an exceptionally strong group of females that are sure to see success from show ring to front pasture where ever their new home takes them. A lot of the small details are already taken care of from the Diamond T crew. All the lots are halter broke, clipped, washed and ready to get to work. New for 2015, Diamond T is very excited to announce the 1st Annual Diamond T Cattle Co Bull Sale to take place at that the Ranch; West of Olds. We are looking forward to sharing more details as they un-fold; stay tuned to our website and Facebook page for updates. Plan to drop by and view the heifers at our Open House Saturday October 11, 2014; we will be look-ing forward to seeing you!

Welcome t

Wow! Lassie 1412 is exactly that. There have been a lot of astute cattleman through the pastures this summer and fall at Diamond T Cattle, and everyone stops and says, “who’s that?’ She is without a doubt the boldest ribbed, broodiest, most capacious heifer we have raised yet. The Harvestor cattle are powerhouse animals in terms of growth, mass and efficiency, which, everyone will agree, the epitome of what we as cattleman are constantly trying to raise. You will travel all over North America to find a female that is made this right with a pedigree backed with maternal greats like Traveler 23-4, Tehama Bando 155, 6807, Net Worth and 6595. Her dam is an owned daughter of Freedom 104 and is long spined, super free and efficient in her movement and loaded with rib shape. This will be a sale feature that is just getting her career started with her best days very much ahead of her. Entered at Olds Fall Classic, Farmfair and Agribition.

Finally! The first Wiwa Creek Rush Lake 71’12 calves to sell. He burst on the seen at Agribition in 2012 with his gorgeous uddered, feminine dam. They raised the eyes of everybody in the barns when they sold in the Power & Perfection sale and since that day Rush Lake has never looked back. We purchased a semen interest to add dimension, depth, hair and that modern Motive look. Combine that with the JLMB Cassie 188U cow that is rapidly becoming world renowned, and you are left with a great combination. Diamond T Cassie 1439 is made so similar to her mother, moderate statured, with so much top, belly and a skeleton that is just that much bolder than most. If you are a young person building a herd of cattle, or a seedstock producer that is looking for that next great replacement, then you found her. She is entered at Olds Fall Classic.

When breeders like Boss Cattle Co, Soo-Line, Anderson Cattle Co, and Stauffer Ranches buy the Wiwa Creek Pride 63’10 cow and Rush Lake respectively, you know that that is a breeding piece you want to be apart of. We have some massive hipped, long topped calves with so much presence about them from the Rush Lake bull this year. His calves will demand so much attention this fall. The dam of this show heifer is a top producing, powerhouse HF Predominant daughter that is one of the first cows noticed in the herd. She’s as voluminous and broad based as they come with a great udder attachment and super sound strided. The Granddam is none other than our Nighthawk donor cow 220T who is an Elite Dam. Come sale week, this lot could be one of the real headliners.

We are so excited to offer the first calves off our Zorzal 6301 son Diamond T TM Caliente 1253. They hit the ground ultra moderate at birth, grow with tons of vigor and have so much presence about them. We will have a few leadoff 1253 sons that will be very appreciated and the ranchers will find in our bull sale. Primrose 1417 is the standout of those Zorzal heifers. She exemplifies femininity, style, balance and breed character with one of the most refined head, neck, shoulder carriages you will find. The Argentine cattle are designed with a moderate frame, while being a highly efficient and marketable product. They are very much, real world cattle. An outcross heifer made that good with power and a show ring look will surely pay a fast ROI.

The search for a performance oriented herdsire that would increase muscle dimension, carcass quality and leave us with more rugged commer-cially appreciated calves led us to Brookmore Upwaard 70Z. Little did we know that he would leave a tremendous set of daughters. They were born small and are the growthiest, boldest sprung calves going into weaning. His gor-geous uddered Density dam is a structurally flawless female with a great design that HBH Cattle purchased in their package from Brookmore. The dam of 1413 is a front pasture Nighthawk daugh-ter that always rises to the top with her offspring, 3 bulls in our bull sales averaging $4275, a sale feature in the Power & Perfection to Nielson Land & Cattle and the highest indexing first calver that might out produce mom. All this makes for a top end show heifer or future herd matron that is backed by quality genetics and a program based on the mother cow.

Dam of Lot 5

Paternal Sib of Lot 6

Every farmer, rancher, seed-stock producer have those cows that we call honest and hard working. Well Tilda 1271 is exactly that. An ultra efficient, 1150 lb cow that weaned off 65% of her body the first of September as a first calf heifer. A paternal sister to Lot 5 and NRA 216B, that is the calf at side of one of the most com-plete females we have produced in years, Tilda 1431 is going to have a lot of admirers at the OPEN HOUSE on Saturday October 11. She is fancy and up headed with loads and loads of depth from her forearm to her flank while maintaining a cool hair coat for all you who like the glue can.

The loan red angus heifer in the offering and she can stand on her own. A big time brood cow prospect that is a maternal sister to the 2 herdsires pic-tured that sold through our bull sale Serviceberry Red Angus and Byron Haugan. The dam of Spera 1438 is dark cherry red, massively long fronted and as much body cavity as you could ask for. Well I guess that pretty much describes Lot 7 to a tee. This heifer has maternal cow power written all over her genetic makeup with greats like Mullberry, Zama Pine, Umpire 1000, Rambo and the great Boomer.

The first of the Remington Lock & Load daughters and for just an April birth date she is exceptional. Wide based with a ton of skeletal shape, extensive in her body length and loads of presence when you see her on the profile. A little bit of chrome in the right spots with a brockle face, so she will for sure be noticed in a show ring. Her dam is a moderate statured, big ribbed Red Angus cow with an awe-some udder. The Lock 7 Load offspring have been on fire all over North America from high sellers in bull and female sales to champions in the show ring. Most importantly however, you will want to accumulate every daughter you can because they make exceptionally nice cows with fleshing ability and perfect udders.

A February Lock & load with a great baldy half blood mom that is hairy, strong uddered and soggy middle. B005 carries a little more length and dimen-sion while being very practical in her design. Weather you’re planning on showing these heifers or just want a maternal oriented replacement, they have the potential and pedigree to produce in whatever ele-ment presented.

Sire of Lot 9

Sire of Lot 10

If you find one with much more style than this heifer than snatch her up. When you walk through the sale heifers, there is no denying that she is the most upheaded, fancy and eye catching one of the group. Her forerib blends so smooth into her rib and down her flank and then is ultra parallel to her strong top. These ½ and ¾ blood heifers out of Lock & Load and our strongest Angus base commercial cows are so functional. Use them to breed to a purebred herdsire or even as a more functional base in a clubby program. They are just made so sound and maternal.

DIAMOND MINE ONLINE PRODUCTION SALE DATES AND TIMESThe auction has been set to run from 9:00 a.m. MST on Friday, October 10, 2014 with the Internet close out to start with the first lot at 7:00 p.m. MST Monday, October 13th. We will then proceed to sell each lot using a 45 second bidding clock until all lots are sold. Meaning once the pre an-nounced time has expired without a bid that heifer will be considered sold to the last highest bidder. A sale order will be posted 9:00 am Monday the 13. If you don’t have computer access, phone in bids will be accepted at the numbers listed on the terms and conditions page. Be sure to register early to allow the necessary time to be put in to the system.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE· In order to participate in the online auction you will need to pre-register and obtain a buyer number.· To do this, go to the LiveAuctions website, www.liveauctions.tv, and select Diamond Mine Online Sale.· After logging in the buyer registration form should pop up automatically. If it doesn’t there is a link you can select that says, “register for a buyer number” which is located right under your name in the top right hand corner.· This form requires you to fill out your banks name, city, state, phone number and a contact.· You may register to bid after bidding has opened but please remember that authorization to bid is not instantaneous.

HOW THE AUCTION WORKS· Once you have a username and have received a buyer number then you are ready to bid. You will see a screen that is unique to your user ID.· There will be a list containing the sale lots. If you click on a lot the video clip or photo will be displayed to the right. The next bid, current price, proxy bid, and manual bid buttons will be displayed below the video area. This page will react to your bids by stating, “you are in” or “you are out”.· No one else will be able to see your bid – that data is not accessible to the public.· Each time you login, the auction screen will display your personal bidding information. Your auction screen is unique and private displaying your activity to only you.· Remember that you must have the lot that you are bidding on selected. This is where it tells you if you are in or out. It is here where you can also see your proxy bid settings(as applicable).

WHAT IS A PROXY BID? With a proxy bid you can enter your maximum bid and then sit back and watch. When you enter a proxy bid amount the LiveAuctions system automatically bids on your behalf up to your maximum bid. If the lot closes out for less than your maximum, that’s all you pay. This means that you don’t have to keep coming back to re-bid every time another bid is placed. This makes it more convenient and less time consuming. It can also greatly assists those breeders that can’t be near a computer or are busy with other duties at the time of the final bidding. Your maximum amount is kept confidential from other bidders and the seller. Even though you can see this amount on your screen no one else can. The LiveAuctions system compares your bid to those of the other registered bidders and the system automatically places bids on your behalf, using only as much of your bid as is necessary to maintain your high bid position. The system will bid only up to your maximum amount as necessary to maintain you as the high bidder. If another bidder has a higher maximum, you’ll be outbid and the system will tell you that “YOU’RE OUT”. But, if no other bidder has a higher maximum you win the final bid. The final close out bidding process: After each sale we receive a few calls after the sale from breeders who were interested in bidding on a heifer but failed to watch the bidding clock and let the bidding time expire. When the bidding starts, the bidding clock will run for a pre announced time (usually 30 or 45 seconds or until there is a bid at which time the clock will rewind to its original 30 or 45 seconds. (Whatever time used will be preannounced). For example: if the bidding clock gets down to 1 second remaining then a higher bid is submitted, the clock will then restart. This rewind process will continue with each bid received until the allotted time elapses without a bid. Then the lot will be considered sold. So if you are interested in a particular heifer be sure to submit your bidwhile there is still time on the clock. This is where using the proxy bid can come in handy insuring you do not miss a bid!

LiveAuctions staff will be happy to answer your questions. Jessy Milne-Smith: (613) 229-1073 Brad Fahrmeier: (816) 392-9241
