1. Asegrese de que no se estn ejecutando otras aplicaciones.2. Inserte el CD de instalacin de FlexAB en la unidad de CD-ROM del ordenador.

El CD contiene el archivo SETUP.EXE que debe ejecutar para instalar FlexAB y lemostrar la ventana de Inicio de instalacin, debe seguir los pasos que se lepiden durante la instalacin.

Esos pasos estn explicados detalladamente enVentanas de Instalacin.Usted puede modificar, restaurar o desinstalar FlexAB de su ordenador.

Ventanas de InstalacinAl iniciar la instalacin se visualizar la ventana Preparando para instalar. Luego, seactiva la ventana de bienvenida a la instalacin de FlexAB .

Ventana License AgreementEn ella encontrar el contrato de licencia del programa.

Si acepta el contrato seleccione la opcin de aceptacin y presionar botn Next paracontinuar.Si desea volver a la ventana anterior, presionar botn Back.Para abortar la instalacin, presionar botn Cancel.

Ventana Destination Folder y Change Current Destination Folder (Carpeta de Destino y Cambiar Carpeta de Destino Actual, en ingls)

Aqu puede presionar el boton Change y elegir una ubicacin distinta para laInstalacin de FlexAB en su PC.

Ventana Setup TypeDebe seleccionar el tipo de instalacin que desea realizar: puede serCliente, Server o Custom (personalizada).

Setup Type: ClientLuego de seleccionar la opcin, presionar botn Next para continuar.Si desea volver a la ventana anterior, presionar botn Back.Para abortar la instalacin, presionar botn Cancel.Con esta opcin se instalarn SOLO las herramientas del Cliente, es decir FlexAB.DLL,FlexABsui (Interface de Usuario Standard), el Editor de Paquetes, el Tray y elConfigurador de Universos.

Setup Type: ServerLuego de seleccionar la opcin, presionar botn Next para continuar.

Si desea volver a la ventana anterior, presionar botn BackPara abortar la instalacin, presionar botn Cancel.Con esta opcin se instalarn TODOS las aplicaciones del sistema, es decir FlexABFSsrv

(File Server), FlexABConfig (Interface de Configuracin Estndar) y FlexABsui (Interface deUsuario Estndar). Esta opcin requiere ms espacio en el disco rgido.

Setup Type: CustomLuego de seleccionar la opcin, presionar botn Next para continuar.Si desea volver a la ventana anterior, presionar botn BackPara abortar la instalacin, presionar botn Cancel.Con esta opcin se abrir la ventana Custom Setup, donde se podrn seleccionar uno

a uno los distintos componentes que se desean instalar.El icono que se encuentra junto al nombre del modulo representa el estado de

instalacin del componente. Para cambiar el estado despliegue la lista. Si seleccionamos lasherramientas del Cliente veremos la siguiente pantalla:

Para que el sistema FlexAB funcione correctamente deber tener

instalado:- Un servidor de Base de datos- El servidor FlexAB FS (FlexAB File System server)- FlexAB.DLL- FlexAB UCI (UNI VERSE Configuration Interface)- FlexAB SUI (Standard User Interface)- FlexAB SCI (Standard Configuration Interface), solo servidor

Luego de seleccionar el estado de instalacin, presionar botn Next para continuar.Si desea volver a la ventana anterior, presionar botn Back.Para abortar la instalacin, presionar botn Cancel.

Ventana Ready to I nstall the ProgramMuestra el tipo de instalacin que se realizara.

Ventana Install ing FlexABDurante el proceso de instalacin podr ver el progreso de la instalacin.

Para abortar la instalacin, presionar botn Cancel.Al finalizar el proceso de instalacin el programa de instalacin le informar el resultadode la instalacin en la siguiente ventana.

Hacer clic en botn Finish para terminar la instalacin y comenzar a utilizar FlexAB.

Si desea modificar, restaurar o desinstalar FlexAB de su ordenador, siga los siguientes pasos:

1. Ingresar el CD de FlexAB en su unidad de CD-ROM, se iniciar automticamente laventana Preparando para instalar. Luego, si usted ya tiene instalado FlexAB en suordenador, se activa la ventana de desinstalacin o modificacin del sistema.

Presionar botn Next para continuar.Para abortar la instalacin, presionar botn Cancel.

Ventana de seleccin de mantenimiento (slo aparece cuando el programa deinstalacin encuentra una versin de FlexAB instalado)Debe seleccionar lo que desea hacer: las opciones son Modify, Repair o Remove.

Si desea Modificar, el programa le presentar la ventana Custom Setup para seleccionar lo

que desea modificar respecto de lo que se encuentra instalado y continuar el proceso deinstalacin hasta el final.

Si desea Reparar, el programa le mostrar la ventana Ready to Repair the Program , que leinformar en este caso los componentes que se repararn, luego presione el botn Install ycontine el proceso de instalacin hasta el final.

Si desea Eliminar, el programa le mostrar la ventana Remove the Program , para queconfirme la desinstalacin.

Presionar el botn Remove para desinstalar FlexAB de su computadora. Durante este procesoel programa de desinstalacin le mostrar la siguiente ventana de progreso de desinstalacin.

Posteriormente, muestra la ventana de estado final de la desinstalacin y para terminarpresionar el botn Finish dela siguiente ventana.

The Appliware' FlexAB software Suite and accompanying documentation ("Software") areprotected by the copyright laws and treaties of the United States ("U.S.") and other countries.In addition, possession and use of the Software are subject to the terms of this License.

The purpose of this License is to define Your rights to use the Software and the Rights Youacquire by purchasing additional Software licenses.

The Software contains various software programs with different license rights. These softwareprograms run in a multiple tiered computer network.

Client System means a networked desktop computer system that executes programs that usedata located within the network.

Data Server means a networked computer system that manages data sources and supplies thedata to the Client System.

The Client System and Data Server may be the same, overlapping or different physical computersystems.

Some of the programs are licensed for use on a single computer central processing unit (CPU)(a Client System) whereas some are licensed for use on several computers (Client Systems orData Servers). The type of license that applies depends on the following definitions and the

permitted uses specified in the documentation accompanying the Software.

Client Software means the software programs that access the Data Server Software running anODBC application.

Server Software means the software programs that run on the Data Servers and supportconnectivity between the Client Software and a data source managed by the Data Server.

Original Product means Appliware' FlexAB software previously and rightfully acquired by You.

License. Subject to the terms and conditions of this License, Appliware' grants to You a non-exclusive, non-transferable right: (a) to use the FlexAB Software to develop your own

application, (b) to sell FlexAB Software to end users as part of your software developments.

Evaluation License. This section applies to You if the Software is licensed to You for evaluationor demonstration purposes. You are permitted to use the Software for evaluation ordemonstration purposes only. The Software may contain an automatic disabling mechanism.

Your right to use the Software is limited in accordance with the terms of the evaluation offeringunder which You received the Software. If no period of use is specified, then Your right to usethe Software shall terminate 60 days from receipt of the Software, at which time You mustreturn or destroy the Software.

Validity of Upgrade. This section applies to You if the Software is a user count or databasecount upgrade, referred to below as the "Upgrade Product." Your use of the Software is subjectto the following conditions: 1) You have acquired the right to use the Upgrade Product only ifthe Original Product qualifies to be upgraded with the Upgrade Product under the Appliware'policies existing at the time you acquired the Upgrade Product. 2) You are the original licenseeof the Original Product. 3) You installed and used the Original Product in accordance with the

License Restrictions. Appliware reserves all rights not expressly granted to You. Without limitingthe generality of the foregoing, You may not modify the license software to increase the numberof licenses supported by the Software; use any device, process or computer program inconjunction with the Software that increases, either directly or indirectly, the number ofconnections to the Software; reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software exceptand only to the extent it is expressly permitted by applicable law; or, rent, timeshare or leasethe Software unless expressly authorized by Appliware in writing.

Ownership. No title to or ownership of the Software is transferred to You. Appliware, or thelicensor through which Appliware obtained the rights to distribute the Software, owns and

retains all title and ownership of all intellectual property rights in the Software; including anyadaptations or copies of the Software. Only the License is purchased by You.

General Terms

Term. This License becomes effective on the date You legally acquire the Software and willremain in force until terminated. This License shall automatically terminate if You breach any ofits terms. You may terminate this License at any time by destroying the original and all copiesof the Software. Upon termination of this License, You must destroy the original and all copiesof the Software or return them to Appliware.

Transfer. This License may not be transferred or assigned without the prior written approval of

Appliware.

Testing. Prior to installation, the Software should be tested in a non-production testenvironment according to the needs of Your specific system environment.

Governing Law. This License shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws ofthe State of California, U.S., without regard to laws governing conflict of laws and will betreated as though executed in the State of Florida. Any action relating to this License shall beprosecuted in the courts of competent jurisdiction of the State of Florida.

Support. Appliware provides provide support for the Software. For more information onAppliware's current support offerings, see http://www.appliware.net.

Entire License. This License, the Limited Warranty, and the Upgrade/Additive LicenseAgreement (if applicable) sets forth the entire understanding and agreement between You andAppliware and may be amended only in a writing signed by both parties.NO VENDOR, DISTRIBUTOR, DEALER, RETAILER, SALES PERSON OR OTHER PERSON IS

AUTHORIZED TO MODIFY THIS LICENSE OR TO MAKE ANY REPRESENTATION OR PROMISETHAT IS DIFFERENT FROM, OR IN ADDITION TO, THE REPRESENTATIONS OR PROMISES OFTHIS LICENSE.

Waiver. No waiver of any right under this License shall be effective unless in writing, signed bya duly authorized representative of the party to be bound. It is Your responsibility to comply with allsuch controls and requirements as they may be amended from time to time.

U.S. Government Restricted Rights. Use, duplication, or disclosure by the U.S. Government issubject to the restrictions in FAR 52.227-14 (June 1987) Alternate III (June 1987), FAR 52.227-19 (June 1987), or DFARS 252.227-7013 (b)(3) (Nov 1995), or applicable successor

clauses. Contractor/ Manufacturer is Appliware, Inc.

Other. The application of the United Nations Convention of Contracts for the International Saleof Goods is expressly excluded.

Limited Warranty

Media. Appliware warrants any physical media accompanying this Software (as defined in theaccompanying Software License Agreement) against physical defects for a period of 90 daysfrom purchase. Your sole remedy for defective media is replacement.

Software. Except as provided in this Limited Warranty, Appliware warrants that if the Software

fails to conform substantially to the documentation accompanying the Software and if Youreport the nonconformity to Appliware in writing within 90 days from the date You purchasedthe software, Appliware will at its sole discretion either resolve the nonconformity or uponreturn of the original and all copies of the software refund any license fees paid by You.
