Tally ODBC extracts data from Tally and designs the reports in MS Excel. The steps to be fol
Step-1 Start Tally and keep it open till the Mail Merge process is completed in Excel The screen appears as:
Step-2 Open MS Excel
Step-3 Mail Merge ProcessClick on Data>Importternal Data>New Database Query from the Menu.

Step-4 Select Tally ODBC from Choose Data Source dialog box. The screen appears as:
Step-5 Query Wizard displays fields from Tally. Select and click the ">" button to select fieldsrequired in your query.

Step-6 Use the Filter Data dialog box to limit the data to suit your requirement.

Step-7 sort your data in ascending or descending order in the Sort Order dialog box.

Step-8 telect the option to save the query as Option in Query Wizard-Finish dialog box.- Return data to Mircosoft Office Excel - This data wont be update on every entry in tally- View data or edit query in Microsoft Query
- Create an OLAP Cube from this query- This data gets update on every entry in t- Use pivot table function for extracting the relevant data
