Latest Round-ups: Midweek Action: On Tuesday evening, Hallen made it back-to- back Premier Division wins for just the second time this season, after Aaron Anglin’s hat-trick fired them to an impressive 3-0 triumph away at Bitton. After Anglin had converted a stoppage-time penalty in the first half, the Hallen hitman added another spot kick in the 47 th minute, before completing his terrific treble ten minutes from time. In Bath, two goals in the space of five second half minutes from Mike Williams helped Willand Rovers gain a 2-2 draw away at Odd Down, with Kye Simpson and Lewis Dunn each scoring for the hosts. Tuesday night’s First Division offering included Gary Chapman scoring a second half winner during Wincanton Town’s 2-1 defeat of Chard Town. Having gone ahead in the 20 th minute through Danny Golden, Wincanton were clawed back by their visitors who equalised just before the break when Alex Stafie scored for the second time in four days. Chapman struck the only goal of the second half to hand Wincanton the three points, while elsewhere that evening, Bishop Sutton and Cheddar battled out a 0-0 draw. There was plenty of drama on Wednesday, with heavy-hitters from both divisions pushed to the limits on their travels. Premier Division leaders Street saw a two-goal lead away at Bridport evaporate, before scoring a late winner to claim a 3-2 victory at St Mary’s Field. Ross McErlain and David O’Hare each struck in the opening quarter-hour to hand Street an early lead, only for Bridport to fire back in the early stages of the second half, with goals from Lee Sweet and Leighton Thomas levelling the game. The away side managed to find another gear and after Steve Murray had his goalbound effort blocked, Harry Foster was on hand to sweep home the winner 17 minutes from time. In the First Division, Keynsham Town struck an injury-time equaliser to claim a 3-3 draw away at an Olly Trevarthen-inspired Oldland Abbotonians side. After Trevarthen had put the home side ahead in the 33 rd minute, the K’s equalised from long range through the in-form Craig Wilson. Trevarthen then took over the game after the interval, and after scoring his second #29 Season

After Trevarthen had put the home side ahead in the 33rd minute, the K’s equalised from long range through the in-form Craig Wilson. Trevarthen then took over the game after the interval, and after scoring his second following a fine solo effort, the frontman completed his treble, doubling his sides lead in the progress. James Ollis’ curling finish halved the deficit, and then four minutes into the allotted eight of stoppage time, Matt Curnock headed a dramatic equaliser to maintain Keynsham’s long unbeaten run.

Premier Division: In a feisty affair at Trowbridge Road, Bradford Town showed no signs of having a FA Vase hangover, defeating Bridport 5-2 to register their 14th league win of the season. The game took a while to come to life with Karim Rendall opening the scoring in the 36 th minute for the home side. Bridport then equalised eight minutes later through Leighton Thomas, but found themselves behind at the break after Sam Jordan restored Town’s lead from the spot in stoppage time. Rendall then scored his second of the afternoon to double the home side’s lead, before James Moon scored a cracker to put the result beyond doubt. Kameron Andrews scored for Bridport during the extended period of second-half injury time, but Bradford had the last word with Will Haliston sweeping home their fifth just prior to the full-time whistle.

Bridgwater Town are hitting their straps and extended their winning run to four matches following a 5-0 victory at home to Wells City. After Jack Taylor was felled in the box, Michael Duffy saw his 10th minute penalty saved, but showed enough awareness to follow up and knock in the rebound to hand Bridgy the early lead. Taylor was soon on the scoresheet after being slipped through by Jack Jenkins, and then Harry Horton nutmegged the visiting keeper to extend the lead to three at the interval. During the second-half, Syd Camper knocked in the fourth, before Horton scored his second of the afternoon to complete the five-star performance. In Devon, a brilliant first-half performance from Buckland Athletic which encompassed a brace from Gavin Hammon and a strike from Lloyd Gardner fired them to a 3-0 victory over Odd Down. Willand Rovers reduced Street’s lead atop the division to just five points following their 3-1 win away at Cribbs. Luke Mortimore scored his 15th and 16th league goals of the season during the win, either side of a Fletcher Williams effort, before Jake Slocombe struck a consolation for Cribbs 15 minutes from time. A trio of goals in the final 20 minutes from Saikou Janneh, Liam Dempsey and Clayton Fortune helped Clevedon Town come from behind to defeat Brislington 3-1 after Ricky Chandler had put the away side ahead, while Wellington won by the same scoreline at home to Chipping Sodbury Town following goals from Sam Towler, Tom Ellis and Conor Bryant. Shepton Mallet continued their perfect start to 2018 by defeating Hallen 4-0 away from home. After new signing Isaac Reid had opened the scoring, the former Clevedon man then set up Joe Morgan who doubled the visitors advantage, before Tyson Pollard and substitute Harry Ratcliffe added goals three and four.

First Division: With only four games surviving the weather in the First Division, a number of teams from the bottom half grabbed three points to boost their survival hopes. At Raleigh Grove, a Marc Caines hat-trick fired Sherborne Town to a 4-1 win at home to Warminster Town. After Caines had opened the scoring for the home side, they were clawed back by Warminster who levelled things up through Jack Miluk. Caines then scored twice more to put Sherborne in control, before Harry Vandervell wrapped things up during the second half. Corsham Town were another side to put in an impressive home performance, with two goals from Gary McDermott and a heroic defensive effort helping them defeat the previously free-scoring Bishops Lydeard 2-0. Aaron Seviour had a perfect debut for Calne Town, scoring twice late on to help his new side defeat Portishead Town 2-1. League-leaders Westbury United were twice pegged back by Wincanton Town during their 2-2 draw at Meadow Lane. Despite going ahead through Matt Jones and Leon Greenland, Westbury couldn’t hold on and saw their lead disappear twice following equalisers by Dan Wise and Marcus Cook for the visitors.
