Help for Resizing Your HDTV Desktop

AfterresizingtheHDTVdesktop,thenewcustomresolutioncreatedisnowaddedtothelistofavailableresolutionsforthatdisplay,andalsoaddedtotheresolutionlistwithinthegameorapplication.

InRelease190andlaterdrivers,themethodforresizingtheHDTVdesktophaschangedtoprovidebetterimagequalitywhenapplyingunderscan.Thismethodresultsinanewcustomresolutionbeingcreatedwhichneedstobeselectedfromgamesorapplicationstoapplytheresizing.

Intheexampledisplayedinthefollowingscreenshot,theunderscanhascreatedanewresolution(1216x682).Althoughthisresolutionlooksdifferent,itisstillinHDformat.Remembertoselectthisresolutioninyourgameorotherapplicationinordertotakeadvantageofit.

Understanding Dynamic GPU Performance Mode

WiththeRelease280drivers,NVIDIAGPUclockspeedswillincreasemorequicklyinresponsetoincreasedgraphicsdemands.Conversely,withlowergraphicsusetheGPUclockspeedslowsdownmorequickly,conservingasmuchpoweraspossible.

YoumaynoticethefluctuationinclockspeedswhileengaginginvarioustasksonthePC.Thisistobeexpected,andindicatesthattheGPUperformancemodeisadjustingasneededandthattheGPUisoperatingattheoptimalperformancelevelatalltimes.ItdoesnothurtthelifeoftheGPU.

Toaccommodateapplicationsthatrequestuseofthefrontbuffer,theNVIDIA

softwarecan

provide

the

antialiased

data

in

abuffer

to
