27TH Annual Chapter Convention of Quality Concpets (CCQC 2013) Mumbai, was a historic and memorable event with 282 teams, 1800 participants, in the two day convention.
Mr. KB Bharati, Chairman, QCFI Mumbai Chapter, welcomed the Chief Guest, Sr.Executives from different organizations, QC fraternity, judges and invitees. He reviewed the 2012-13 activities and events and presented future plans of the Chapter. He further mentioned that Mumbai Chapter has widened its mission of propagation and promotion of quality concepts across the State and is also planning to open Quality Centres in the immediate future. He wished the QC teams “All the Best”.
Mr. R. Ramakrishnan, Vice Chairman, Jt. MD and Group CEO, Polycab Pvt. Ltd, inaugurated the convention. In his motivating, thoughtful and enriching speech, he appreciated the fine work of Mumbai Chapter and advised the Governing Council to make inroads in many other sectors. Chief Guest released 100the issue of our house magazine on this occasion.
A Lifetime Achievement Award was announced for Mr. LN Ghirnikar, Founder member and ex-chairman, Mumbai Chapter for his outstanding contribution for propagation of quality concepts. Trishul QC from RCF Mumbai was felicitated for their 100th presentation in their organization during their 22-year continued journey. Mumbai Chapter also announced special awards for Best Case study, Best Presentation, Debutant organizations, Poster, poem, slogan and essay competition.

Ankleshwar Centre of QCFI was launched on 11th August 2012. First ever annual convention on Quality Concept was organised by them on 7th September 2013.
Thirty Nine teams from various industries from GIDC, Ankleshwar and around participated in the event. With visible support from industries like M/s. Reliance Industries from Dahej & Silvasa, GRP Limited from Ankleshwar, Panoli & Solapur, S Kumar with highest participation, Atul Ltd., and many others, it was a grand success.
Under able guidance from Mrs.Sudha Mujumdar as a Mentor, the event was organised in a most professional manner with the help of Mr.Bahudhanye.
QCFI Vice President Dr.Ashok Mittal inaugurated the convention.
Chairman Mr.Bharati & Secretary Mr.Malshe witnessed the event on behalf of Mumbai Chapter.
Mr.Vijay Asar, Chairman, Mr.Raju Modi, Secretary and Mr.Kiran Modi Treasurer and their team of Ankleshwar Centre had taken great efforts to make it a memorable event.
As part of CSR activity, QCFI Mumbai Chapter conducted
several programs for the students of the schools, in association
with M/s.Kokuyo Camlin Ltd., and Lions Club of Tarapur during
July and September, 2013. Maths Guidance (by Mr.Sandeep
Geedh 257 students present 13 Aug 2013), Marathi Guidance
(by Sinkar Madam 159 Students participated - 30th Sept 2013),
5S for Teachers (122 teachers participated - 17th July 2013),
Vaccination Camp (16th July 2013 - 102 students participated in
the camp)

Guidance session on 5 S principles for teachers of the schools by Mr.V.G.Dharap and Mr.Vijay Lad
Quality Circle Forum of India-HQ in association with Chennai chapter has organized the first ‘National Conclave on 5S’ at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Chennai on September 14, 2013.
Sri T.R.Narasimhan, Secretary & Conclave Director along with Sri P.V.Satyavratan, Director-QCFI jointly spearheaded the programme. Sri A.Mayuranathan Chairman QCFI Chennai chapter welcomed the gathering.
Ms.Uma Devui, Managing Director of M/s.Ramalinga Flour Mills was the Chief guest. In her inaugural address, she pointed out how the attitutde is important for growth and development and emphasized that it is the duly of the leader to educate the employees. She described their success in implementing 5S through QCFI’s guidance.
Dr.Ashok Mittal highlighted the development of activities of QCFI as ‘Value adders’ to the workers. He highlighted that our ability has to be good in
creating systems, implementation and sustenance.
Sri D.K.Srivastava, Executive Director explained the 5S related support extended to the organizations. He made a presentation on the ‘5S an Indian Way’. Sri T.R.Narasimhan, Conclave Director brought out the significance of 5S for organizational development.
A book entitled “Practical Guidebook on 5S” published by QCFI was released.
Sri P.V.Satyavratan extended the vote of thanks for the inaugural session. Sri T.R.Narasimhan proposed the acknowledgment to each and every one who contributed for the successful conduct of the event.
