EXHIBITORS

The twenty-sixth edition of this event saw the presence of 1.056 exhibitors displaying more than 30.000 fine food and beverage products, to the delight of all the professionals from the industry who came to visit the exhibition.We have managed to keep up the interest of international exhibitors, with the French Pavilion at the head of the international representation. Products and exhibitors from Argentina, Austria, Colombia, Czech Republic, Holland, Hungary, Iran, Italy, Japan, New Zeland, Portugal, United Kingdom and U.S.A.

The following information of interest is taken from the Exhibitors surveys:

85,50 % of the exhibitors is satisfied with the contacts made.

89,60 % of the exhibitors is planning to exhibit in the next edition of the SG.

80,00 % approve the way the SG is being runned.

VISITORS

The following information of interest is taken from the Visitor’s surveys:

From the 1.047 surveys carried out, random, on trade visitors to the 26th SG, during the four days the event lasted (with statistical parameters: 98% confidence level and ± 3,1% margin of error) we can highlight that:

• 93,0 % is satisfied or very satisfied with their visit to the Salon, and the main reasons were the quality and the variety of the displayed products, the nature of the contacts made and the pros-pects of gaining new contracts.

• 39,5 % of the visitors acknowledge having attended the SG with the firm intention of purchasing, 55,0 % said they attended in order to gather information, and the remaining 5,4 % expressed their intention to search for new suppliers, promote their products, contact their clients, etc.

A total of 74.232 trade professionals visited the SG in this edition. This figure, under the current circums-tances, is the best sign of the growing interest generated by the Salon de Gourmets.Here is a breakdown of the 74.232 professionals who visited the SG:

Reserved area, exclusive for our exhibitors and free of charge, where they can hold their meetings with the international buyers invited by the organization (in collaboration with ICEX).

More than 1.200 trade meetings held in 2012.

This 2012 edition Purchasing Managers, from the following countries, have joined us: Australia, Belgium, Brasil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, France, Holland, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, New Zeland, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland and U.S.A.

En 2012, the Organization has pledge its commitment on the growth of the Business Center and 60 inter-national buyers accepted the invitation from Grupo Gourmets; holding a minimum of 20 interviews per buyer. Exhibitors who wished a translator, can benefit from this service free of charge.
