signed to ensure that you gain maximum benefit from your participation.

The Service Manual is to assist you with your preparations for the exhibition. Relevant order forms need

to be completed and returned readable to us.

Please read through the Manual and observe all the rules and submission deadlines specified on theforms.

a) Exhibitors – Please make sure that you register at the Organiser Office (7.5 A49) by Igedo/Messe DüsseldorfMoscow in order to collect your exhibitor badges and gatepasses prior to the opening of the exhibition. Passes allow-ing exhibitors and their staff to enter the exhibition hallsthroughout the exhibition will be issued to exhibitors basedon their entitlements as stipulated in Form No. 9 in the tech-nical section. The badge must be worn at all times whilst onthe exhibition premises.

b) Parking in the streets around the exhibition centre is li mi ted. Car passes allow parking only within the allocatedparking areas inside or adjacent to the exhibition site. Theydo not permit vehicle access direct to the cargo gates or entrances of the halls during the exhibition for either load-ing or passenger drop-off.

c) Visitors – The Exhibition is open to all registered and pre-registered visitors.

There are small bars, cafeterias and coffee shops in mosthalls, especially in Hall 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8.1, Forum.

You can exchange foreign currency or get cash using VISA-card and other credit cards in the bank within the ServiceCentre or in the Sadko arcade at the cash points.

a) Insurance cover for Public Liability only has been arrangedby the organisers.

b) Exhibitors are required to arrange other insurances, suchas cover for loss of expenses caused by cancellation /aban-donment and theft, loss or damage to exhibits and othergoods as well as personal liability.

c) If the organisers are compelled to temporarily vacate orpermanently close the exhibition and/or parts thereof, topostpone the event, shorten or extend it due to a “ForceMajeure”, or any other reasons beyond its control, the ex-hibitor is not entitled to any rights, in particular, to claim fordamages against the organisers.

a) Any exhibitor who takes part in CPM Collection PremièreMoscow must comply with the legislation rules and regula-tions of the country.

b) The exhibitors shall likewise be solely responsible for ob-serving and complying with the same for obtaining all con-sents, approval, authorities, licenses and the like as may berequired in relation to their participation in the exhibition.

Since the visa procedure has changed considerably as of Jan-uary 1, 1997 and our partners Expocentr Fairgrounds are nolonger entitled to give invitations (only the Russian Ministryof Foreign Affairs can issue them now), we have given thevisa processing into our travel agent’s hands.

They have been doing this for us for many years and thusare very experienced in that field. We recommend that you contact them in case you shouldneed a visa for the exhibition.We would explicitely point out, however, that using Messe-Reisen Falk’s services in order to obtain a visa DOES BY NOMEANS IMPLY THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO BOOK YOUR TRIPWITH THEM.

You don’t need to order a business visa, a tourist visa whichyou’ll get within your hotel voucher is enough in order tovisit the fair.

Our experiences with visa procedures have clearly shownthat it is very important that you apply for your visa VERYearly. Since 1 January 1997 by being late you not only risknot receiving your visa in time but also incurring consider-able additional costs.

The order of bring-in and bring-out of exhibitiongoods on the trade fairgrounds of Expocentr.

1.For transportation and customs processing of the cargoesimported from abroad of the Russian Federation, we askyou to address in forwarding the firm: SCHENKER, hall 2,tower 1, floor 2, contact: Olga Mishina, Elena Shevchuk,T +7.495.205.10.30 or 205.71.55

2. If you want to bring some exhibits, promotional materialsand other exhibition goods which are not subject to customs inspection we kindly ask you to do the following:a) to write the letter in triplicate on the form of your com-pany, which should be signed by the head of your com-pany. The letter should be addressed to the director of theexhibition “ ”.b) this letter in triplicate should be presented to the di-rector of the exhibition “ ” in the trade fairmanagement office of JSC Expocentr and signed by him.c) on the basis of this letter directly on the day when youwill deliver your goods to the trade fairgrounds of Ex-pocentr you should receive a free single pass from the ad-ministrator of that exhibition hall in which your exhibitionstand is situated, for presentation at the entrance gatesthrough which your transport will pass.

The 1st copy of the letter remains with the director of theexhibition “ ”, the 2nd with the administratorof a hall, the 3rd copy remains with you and is the basisfor reception of the pass on taking out your goods afterthe exhibition from the fairgrounds of Expocentr.

Right after unloadings of exhibits and promotional mate-rials your transport should be taken out of limits of thetrade fairgrounds of Expocentr.

For expensive exhibits it is necessary to specify the coun-try, manufacturer, mark, factory number. Attention! Incase you need to bring-in additional exhibits and promo-tional materials during the work of the exhibition, in or-der to prevent occurrence of problems at their bring-out,it is necessary to add all these additional exhibits or ma-terials those two copies of the letter that was given to theadministrator of the hall and (the second) that was left foryou.

1.1 Setting up and delivery

Any goods that have not been unpacked by 4.00 pm on thelast day for setting up are to be removed/put into storage atthe cost of the exhibitor and may only be delivered again af-ter 6.00 pm on the first day of the fair, at the earliest.

Exhibitors can move into their turn-key stands rented fromthe organiser after 1.00 pm on the last day allocated for set-ting up.

1. Setting up and dismantling

1.3 Electricity and water

a) Electricity

Electricity for lighting: 220 VElectricity for power: 3-phase AC 380 Vwith limited load mid-point conductor (fourth wire).

The main frequency is 50 Hz. Motors with more than 20 kWmust be switched with load-limiting starter devices.

All electrical units and equipment must comply with there gu lations of VDE. The supply cabling and the mainelectrical connection from the hall distributor to thestand may only be made by Messe Düsseldorf GmbHfor reasons of safety in operation. Orders are to beplaced using the appropriate form. Electrical installa-tions within the stands are done by Messe DüsseldorfGmbH on the basis of the orders placed. Electrical installations within the stands can be done by the electri-cians of the exhibitor or by concessionaire electrical com-panies working in compliance with VDE regulations and tothe state of the art of technology. Existing electrical installations within the stands may only be put into opera-tion during the period of the event itself once they havebeen officially accepted and approved by Messe DüsseldorfGmbH. Test certificates are to be kept in readiness when thestand is officially accepted. Test certificates are to be in Russian and German.

b) Water

The necessary installation work may only be carried out byMesse Düsseldorf GmbH for reasons of safety in operation.Orders are to be placed using the appropriate form.

a+b WARNING

Please note that it is not possible to provide an optimum lay-out in all cases when planning the layout at the trade fair orexhibition due to obstacles and structures such as pillars,columns, electrical connecting boxes, water supply anddrainage lines, fire alarms, etc. It is necessary to take into ac-count that there will be visible cables and pipes.

The management of the trade fair concerned is to be in-formed immediately in the event of any problems with thesupply of energy or power.The organiser shall have no liability whatsoever for lossesand consequential damage caused by problems with thesupply of energy or power.

1.4 Transport, exhibition and dismantling of exhibi-tion goods

The transport of exhibition goods to the stand and back, thestorage of empty containers and packaging, the use of lifting and conveying equipment, the use of personnel for

2.1 Stand assembly, design, labelling and personnel

Equipping and designing the stands, if they exceed the scopecovered in the terms and conditions of the organiser, is amatter for each individual exhibitor. However, the construc-tion regulations and guidelines of the organiser shall applyfor the type of design for the location of the event. The exhi -bitor is required to agree beforehand with the organiser con-cerning his design. A stand design that does not comply withthe regulations or guidelines can be removed or modified bythe organiser at the cost of the exhibitor concerned.

The stands can be produced with your own material. The rearof the stands must be designed in a neutral way by the per-son to whom the stand belongs so that the interests of theneighbouring stand are not adversely affected.

Walls that are adjacent to the visitor gangways must bemade less monotonous by the installation of showcases,niches, displays, etc., to document the exhibitory nature ofthe stand and the entire event.Constructions of all types and exhibits may not protrude in-to adjacent areas and the visitor gangway.

Stand construction materials that were rented from the or-ganiser may not be damaged by drilling, stapling, cutouts orremnants of strong adhesives and the like. The exhibitor willbe billed for any damage caused (e.g. system wall element€ 100.00).

The use of other stand back walls is forbidden. Each exhi -bitor/stand constructor is required to make provision for anadequate number of walls of his own. Each rented stand isto be given a floor covering.

Dismantling of the stands can be done within the times in-tended for that purpose. Exhibitors shall remove their col-lections for stand dismantling by no later than 6.00 pm. Therented space shall be handed back to the organiser in thesame condition as it was found in. Any damage to walls,floors, ceilings, fittings, etc., will be made good by the or-ganiser and billed to the exhibitor. The stand is to be pro -vided with an adequate number of information personnelduring the opening times of the exhibition or trade fair.

2. Stand assembly and equipment

2.2 Construction height

The construction height is a maximum of 2.50 m for allstands, measured from the hall floor to the top edge of thestand. It is only permissible to exceed this height with theexplicit approval of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH. The same ap-plies to items suspended from the hall ceiling. If the normalheight of 2.50 m is exceeded, it is necessary to comply witha neighbouring zone of 3.00 m. Exhibited items are not sub-ject to these restrictions.

A two-storey structure is only permitted to a limited extentand only with the approval of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH. Theconstruction request for a two-storey structure must be sentin immediately after the stand has been approved. The ap-plication, which must be received by Messe DüsseldorfGmbH 10 weeks before the start of construction at the latest, must include stand construction drawings in 1:100scale (construction details may need to be shown in a larg-er scale as applicable), structural calculations in accordancewith German standards, and two copies of a description ofthe structure in German.

The fees for the construction permits are to be billed to theexhibitor. There is a surcharge of 20% on these fees for ap-plications that are sent in late. With two-storey exhibitionstands the structural components, the ceiling of the groundfloor and the floor of the upper storey must be made out ofsparingly flammable materials. Test certificates are to bekept in readiness when the stand is officially accepted. Testcertificates are to be in Russian and German.

2.3 Stand construction approval / self constructor

The Russian operator of the exhibition centre (ExpocentrFairgrounds) has changed the stand construction approvalprocedure for exhibitors who do not have their trade fairstands set up by ZAO Expoconsta:Effective immediately the following documents must besubmitted in duplicate form in Moscow for approval and inspection:- Letter referring to the project (russian)- Floor plans and view diagrams of your stand- Wiring diagram, including specification of the power

connection data

packing and unpacking, setting up the exhibition goods anddismantling them, repacking them and other associatedwork is exclusively a matter of the exhibitor.

The hall shipper is exclusively responsible for handling ship-ping-related matters within the premises of the exhibitiongrounds.

The organiser has no liability whatsoever for such matters.

1.5 Customs formalities

The exhibitor himself must be aware of and comply with allthe necessary customs formalities concerning items for exhi -bition, stand design materials and goods.

Any further details that are necessary for all transport pro-cessing, including the handling of goods for representationand printed materials, are to be communicated to the exhi -bitors by special transport-related circular letters from thehall shipper.

- Static certification for double-level stands and detailed diagrams

- Qualification certification of all electricians and techniciansto be employed at the exhibition centre as well as copies ofpasses of all supervising technicians

- Fire protection certification for all combustible materials.

All submitted documents must bear the stamps of the com-panies rendering the services and the signatures of the super -vising persons.These documents must be submitted to ZAO Expoconsta inMoscow no later than 45 days prior to the official startof construction:

The rates based on the rates of Expoconsta. Messe Düssel-dorf GmbH reserve the right to adjust prices should the local rates change.Please note that the import of your stand construction ma-terial to the exhibition centre may be refused in the absenceof an official approval. The general stand construction ap-proval procedures, inspection of the maximum permissibleinstallation height and compliance with the specified dis-tances between installations continue to be the responsibil-ity of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH.

Before submitting your plans to ZAO Expoconsta for ap-proval, please send us the appropriately scaled floor plansand view diagrams, which will be immediately returned toyou with the corresponding approval notes of Messe Düs-seldorf GmbH.

The following applies to exhibitors who have MesseDüsseldorf GmbH set up their stands:1. The stand construction approval is obtained by Messe

Düsseldorf GmbH.2. The necessary project documents must be submitted to

Messe Düsseldorf GmbH within 60 days prior to the offi-cial start of the stand construction

2.4 Roofing

The stands may only be given enclosed roofing using sparing -ly inflammable construction materials in the area of the cab-ins. The installation of a sprinkler unit is required if an areaof more than 30 m2 is enclosed.

2.5 Labelling and advertising

Signs and placards may only be installed up to the boundaryof the stand. Any advertising activities outside the exhibitionstand shall require prior approval from the organiser.

2.6 Protection against fire and safety regulations

Smoke and fire alarmsThe operator of the Expocentr Fairgrounds requires smokeand fire alarms for two-storey trade fair stands. These will bepro vided and installed by the operator of the Trade Fair Cen-ter. The cost including labour and VAT is € 160.00 each. Thenumber of alarms to be installed will be determined by thestructural conditions and evaluation by the fire brigade. Thecharges will be included in the final invoice or are to be paidin cash on location.

Stand construction and decorative materials Highly inflammable materials or materials that drip whenburning may not be used. Special requirements may be madeconcerning structural parts in individual cases for safety rea-sons. Decorative materials of all types must be sparingly in-flammable. It is necessary to prove that these materials aresparingly inflammable at the time of acceptance (test certifi-cates are to be in Russian).Materials with a risk of explosion are subject to the [German]Explosives law and may not be exhibited at trade fairs andexhibitions.

BalloonsIt is forbidden to use balloons filled with an inflammable gaswithin the halls and in the open areas outside. The use of bal-loons filled with a safe gas within the halls and in the openareas outside requires the prior approval of Messe DüsseldorfGmbH.

Rubbish, recycling and remnant bins No bins or containers used to hold rubbish, materials for re-cycling or remnants involving inflammable materials are tobe set up at the stands. The bins and containers at the standsare to be emptied regularly at the corresponding points, andat the latest every evening after the fair or exhibition hasclosed.

Spray guns, nitro-based paintsIt is forbidden to use sprayguns or nitro-based paints in anyof the halls.Cutting and grinding work and all work with naked flames,welding, flame-cutting, soldering, thawing, cutting andgrinding work must be publicised before the start of thework and a written application made beforehand to MesseDüsseldorf GmbH. The area is to be suitably blocked off be-forehand to avoid any dangers to others. Fire extinguishersmust be available ready for use in the immediate vicinity. Cir-cular saws are only permitted by using a dust extractor.

3. During the fair of exhibition

3.1 Machine noise, audiovisual presentations, etc.

Presentations of all types should be restricted as much aspossible in the interest of other exhibitors and the visitors.It is not permitted to exceed a noise level of 75 dB (A) at theboundary of the stand.

3.2 Photography and filming

Photography is not permitted on the premises of the tradefair or exhibition grounds and within the halls, especiallywith regard to exhibition objects and items. The organiserreserves the right to make use of photographs and films ofall types for its own and for general publications.

Cranes, fork lift trucksIt is not permitted to operate your own cranes and fork lifttrucks on the premises of the exhibition grounds.Only units belonging to the shippers involved on the pre -mises of the exhibition grounds may be operated.

Empty containers and packagingIt is forbidden to store empty containers (e.g. packaging andpacking materials) at the stands. All empty containers andpackaging materials are to be taken immediately to the de -signated storage point for empty containers and packagingmaterials operated by the approved shippers.

GlassOnly laminated safety glass may be used. The edges of glasspanes must be machined or protected in such a way thatthere is no possible risk of injury. Objects made completelyof glass must be marked at eye level.

Stand safetyThe trade fair and exhibition stands with their fittings andexhi bits and holders for advertising signs are to be set up ina secure and stable manner so that they do not endangerthe general public or cause a nuisance. The exhibitor is re-sponsible for ensuring structural stability and must providecertification and proof of this if required to do so.

Protective equipmentMachines and apparatus may only be put into operationonce all the protective devices are functional and operating.The management of the trade fair or exhibition is authorised

to prohibit at any time the operation of machines, appara-tus and equipment if in their view continued operation ofsame would entail a risk of injury or damage.

Hall floorsCarpets and other floor coverings must be laid so as to avoidaccidents and may not protrude out beyond the edge of therented area. Only adhesive tape that leaves no traces orresidues may be used for fixing. All the materials used mustbe capable of being removed without leaving any traces orresidues. Substances such as oils, greases, paints and simi-lar substances must be removed at once from the hall floor.Neither paint nor adhesive may be applied to the hall floor.

Security patrolsGeneral security patrols of the halls and the premises of theexhibition grounds during the time of the trade fair or exhi-bition will be undertaken by Messe Düsseldorf GmbH. There will be general security patrols during the setting upand dismantling times, starting on the first day of setting upand ending on the last day of dismantling. The exhibitor must organise for himself any security moni-toring of his possessions. Exemption from liability for per-sonal injury and pro perty damage shall not be limited by thegeneral security patrols. Security guards required for the duration of the trade fair /exhibition must be ordered using the relevant form 8 of the“SERVICE MANUAL” only. No other security staff shall be permitted over the entire fairgrounds.

4. Costs, Extra Services

Orders/extra services can only be made/ordered by ex-hibitors using the forms included in the “SERVICE MANU-AL”. These orders/services are subject to a charge. Prices forthese can be found on the relevant forms. Exhibitors musthand in the order forms to the addressee (organiser orMesse Düsseldorf GmbH) stated on the form no later thanthe deadline also specified on the relevant form. Orders fortechnical services received by the Messe Düsseldorf GmbHafter the stated deadline shall be subject to a 30% sur-charge on the net price.

These include our own mailing and telephone activities, information from reports in tradejournals and the daily press, advertisements and vacancies, address and telephone books, associations, and the Igedo Company’sworldwide network of representatives.

Addresses from our database cannot be given directly to address users due to data protection laws. We would be glad to organise a mailing before or after the CPM for your Company.

Therefore the address rental fee and address label cost 50 Cent/address. For this the address user must make available all advertisingmaterial, including envelopes, no later than three days prior to the planned dispatch date at our office in Moscow.

Our new service is the dispatch of your advertisment by email. More than 10,000 email adresses are available in our data base. A precise selection is necessary for an e-mail Mailing. Lease price is 50 cent per adress without any additional costs.

The other mailing cost (letter-shop service and postage) will be calculated individually for you. For this, please send us a sample by mailor by e-mail to [email protected]. The letter-shop service will do all the work required to turn your advertising material and our addresses into ready-to-post inexpensivemailings. Recommendation:The volume of the music at the stand depends on the stand design and, in particular, on the type and mounting ofloudspeakers, i.e. if you use several small loudspeakers and install them in a downward direction the volume will besufficiently high and uniformly spread across your entire stand.

If music is reproduced without a permit from the fair management, the power supply to the stand will be discon-nected. This also applies in the event of problems with excessive volume. We pledge your understanding on behalfof all parties involved in the fair.
