1.  SCOPE

This addendum specification and its attachments cover the requirements for Metallic Materials.

This specification should be read in conjunction with the attached Design general Specification

 No DGS-MW-008 and the specific requirements of the requisition(s) in which it is incorporated.

2.  AMENDMENTS

The following amendments and additions shall apply to Design General Specification Internal

Linings, DGS-MW-008 Revision 1.

All references to “DGS-XX-YYY” shall be replaced with “5636-AMD--XX-YYY” in the

following sections-.

All references to PROJECT shall be replaced “CARBON BLACK & DELAYED COKER

Project.”

2.1.  Amendments to Section 1 – General

1.11 Definitions

The following definitions shall be added:

COMPANY – shall be defined as ABU DHABI OIL REFINING COMPANY (TAKREER)

CONTRACTOR – shall be defined as the organisation to which TAKREER award the

Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) phase.

MANUFACTURER/VENDOR – shall be defined as the supplier of equipment and support

services for a particular piece of equipment/package.

2.2.  Amendments to Section 1.7 – Material Temperature Limits

Add final sentence-

“The use of other materials for temperatures between -46ºC and -60ºC may beconsidered, provided the supplier can demonstrate adequate manufacturing

experience in satisfying the specification and the required code impact test

requirements at the specified MDMT. COMPANY approval is required for any

 proposed substitution”.
