TOWN OF VULCAN BYLAW NO. 1285 A bylaw of the Town of Vulcan, in the Province of Alberta, to amend Bylaw No. 1086. WHEREAS the Council of the Town of Vulcan believes that there is a need to implement a program for the conservation of treated water. THEREFORE under the authority and subject to the provisions of the Municipal Government Act, Statutes of Alberta, 1994, Chapter M-26.1, the Council duly assembled does hereby enact the following: 1. THAT Section III be amended to read: SECTION III – WATERWORKS CONSERVATION OF TREATED WATER 2. (b) Any person permitting any meter to be damaged by frost shall be liable for all costs incurred in the repair of said meter. Repair costs shall be at a minimum of parts or new meter and a minimum of two (2) hours staff time, for each meter so damaged. The said charges so made shall be subject to the same penalties and is collectable in the same manner as sewer and water rates levied by the Town. 2. (c) Should any person claim a meter is not working properly the Town shall, upon written request, together with a deposit of $50.00, remove the said meter from service and will have the appropriate test conducted upon it. 7. For all new and refit installations, toilets, urinals and shower heads, will be of the low flow type that comply with the Alberta Building Code and the Safety Codes Act. 8. For all new or refit installations, water cooled appliances will be prohibited from use. 9. Watering of yards other than by hand shall be restricted in the following manner: Even numbered houses on all streets and avenues - Watering permitted Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday Odd numbered houses on all streets and avenues - Watering permitted Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday Watering is encouraged between the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. 2. BYLAW NO. 1285

A bylaw of the Town of Vulcan, in the Province of Alberta, to amend Bylaw No. 1086.

2. Minimum fine of Fifty Dollars

3. Bylaw No. 1086, being the Waterworks Bylaw, is hereby amended.

4. This Bylaw comes into effect upon third and final reading hereof.

READ a first time this 10th day of June, A.D., 2002.

READ a second time this 10th day of June, A.D., 2002.
