25 POLE-OPERATEDCAM HANDLE LOCKS

Truth Cam Handle Locks are designedto provide long and trouble-freeservice. The hole in the handle allowsoperation of cam lock in elevatedlocations. Two-piece strike design

includes a black polyester insert toprovide a smooth operation and reducewear. Inserts are available in variousheights to assure tight lock-up ofwindow. The 90 rotation of the handlelocks or unlocks the sash. This productcan exceed 300 lbs. of forced entryresistance per locking point.

Truth offers two different ways inwhich this product can be mounted tothe window sash - Face Mounted (In-line or Offset options), or for concealedmounting applications, an Angle Basefeature is available. Consult thedrawings for further details.

MATERIAL: High-pressure die-castzinc handle, base and strike housing.Strike housing materials and finishesmatch cam handles. Inserts are blackpolyester. #30569 Strike made of

painted steel.

FINISH: Electrostatically applied,durable coatings that provide excellentresistance to chipping, scratching andcorrosion while maintaining colorstability for years in direct sunlight.Please refer to Truth's Color Chart forexamples of Truth's most popular finishoptions. TRUTH TIPS:

1. For accurate hardware placement invinyl or metal applications, pre-drilling

of the window profile is recommended.

2. For vinyl window applications,mounting screws should pass throughtwo PVC walls, or one PVC wall andone insert wall. For this reason, it maybe necessary to use a longer screw thanis recommended.

3. For metal window profiles, Truthrecommends machine screws.However, in most applications, sheetmetal screws will provide adequateholding power.

Cam handle locks shall be includedwhich will increase both security andweather seal tightness. The locks musthold securely up to 300 lbs. of forceper lock for negative air pressure andforced entry resistance. A hole shall beprovided in the handle for poleoperation in out-of-reach applications.

Window locks shall be of cam handledesign and utilize a two-piece strike.The cam handle must be constructed of

high pressure zinc alloy die castings.Marring of window surfaces will beeliminated by using a plastic insertmounted in a high pressure zinc diecast strike housing.

Window locks shall be 25 series PoleOperated, as manufactured by TruthHardware, Owatonna, MN.

ORDERING INFORMATION &

OPTIONS:

1. Choose cam handle mounting

desired by part number (see drawingsfor various options).

2. Specify finish number desired.

3. Specify left- or right-hand(determined by which direction thehandle points in the locked position,when viewed from the inside, on aproject out bottom window).

4. Select mounting hardware (soldseparately):

a. Choose strike and insert part

numbers. Make sure strike coincideswith handle (offset or in-line). NOTE:#25.70 and #25.72 can be used with a#30569 strike plate allowing use ofeither left- or right-hand cam handleswith the same strike placement.

b. Optional (1)#20408 Rubber-cork adhesivebacked gasket for In-line bases.(1)#20556 Rubber-cork adhesivebacked cam handle gasket for Offsetbases.

RECOMMENDED SCREWS:

Types of screws required determinedby material of profile used. Refer todrawings for complete information onscrew type and quantity needed (soldseparately). For additional informationregarding screw selection - see TruthTips and refer to Tech Note #11.
