What happens after that?

If we guarantee 3 winning numbers in 120 games for a 40-ball lottery, then -

There are 37 numbers left, of which 3 are winners. Your chance of a4th winning number is therefore 3-in-37, or almost 1-in-12;

Once you have that 4th number, the chances of 5 winning numbers are2-in-36, or 1-in-18.

The odds of that all-important 6th ball then become 1-in-35.
