pensation and synchronization movements can be dynamically

Machines working continuously or intermittently can implement
a variety of tasks, such as dosing, sealing, stamping, transporting,
shaping, filling, unwinding/rewinding and positioning, using our
technology modules. High process quality with time-optimized
and smooth movement is achieved in this way.
Baumüller technology modulesThe safety library
Baumüller currently offers 17 safety function modules based
on PLCopen Safety which allows for an easy implementation
of advanced safety functions. The comprehensive integration
of safety, motion/logic and communication technology in
Baumüller automation platforms offers the user high perfor-
mance and profitability.
The Motion Control library
The planning of Single Axis and Multi Axis functionality in ac-
cordance with ‘PLCopen Motion Control’ is only carried out using
the relevant function module libraries from a technological point
of view. The standard IEC 61131 programming languages are used.
The system functionality that is required for motion manage-
ment, field bus communication and drives is integrated in the
operating system of the Baumüller b maXX automation system
using a communication and motion manager.

to the corresponding demands with respect to performance and equipment
through its modularity and flexibility. b maXX 4400 offers a power spectrum
from 1,1 kW up to 315 kW with different cooling concepts, such as air and water
cooling or cold plate variants. With the series b maXX 4100 a regenerative system
is at your disposal, which inserts itself smoothly into the automation solution
b maXX. Functional safety relay integrated into the drive available as an option.The peak load and rated load devices supplement the proven bmaXX series and are available in five frame sizes. Whether you need maximum output for continuous operation or only for short durations, the b maXX series offers a customized drive

The servo inverter b maXX 3400 is a high-quality servo controller with integrated
position control for power ratings up to 4 kW. b maXX 3400 excels through its
compact, space-saving design. The field-oriented control provides for excellent
performance. Higher-level speed and position control ensure dynamic and exact
positioning. The servo controller is specifically designed for operation with the
DSD 28–100 servomotors and the pancake and linear motor series from Baumüller.

b maXX – versatile mini servo controller3400
b maXX 2000 rounds off the converter and controller generation b maXX at the
lower end of the power range. The mini servo controller can be built into the
control cabinet (b maXX 2400) or integrated into motors in the series DSD
28–36 (b maXX 2300). The integration of the controller and power electronics
significantly reduces the amount of cabling that is required. Availability is
significantly increased and maintenance is substantially reduced.

The drive system is based on a standard servomotor from the Baumüller DSC range, from which
a motor-gearbox combination has been derived. At the same time the motor has been optimised
electrically and mechanically: The integrated connection technology permits a compact system design
and a special bearing concept the integration of the two-stage bevel helical gearbox. In combination
with the integrated synchronous motor, this exhibits efficiency levels of up to 90 percent. The geared
motor was designed as a shaft-mounted unit and as a result of its surface finish is also suitable for
aseptic applications, for example in the food, drinks and pharmaceuticals industries.

Whether it be complex automation systems or individual components we can train your employees using
application-specific training modules that are fully matched to your requirements. Your employees can

A professionally maintained machine supports reliable production and the safety for your employees. In addition,
this gives you reliable and conclusive information on the condition of your machines. Your machines and systems are
carefully inspected and maintained using state-of-the-art testing and measuring instruments. In the event of irregularities
we will inform you of the causes and provide appropriate solutions.
Repair
Our many years of experience and technical equipment in our worldwide branches means we can provide high-quality
repair services for your complete drive train ranging from the replacement of defective parts to complete overhaul. Many of
our subsidiaries and partners have experience in the repair of converters and motors by other manufacturers. This provides
your end customers with an additional advantage: One-stop service.
Spare parts
In order to be able to rectify a breakdown immediately, the correct replacement components and spare parts must be
available at short notice. We can develop a comprehensive service concept with you and put together a technically
appropriate and cost-effective selection of components and spare parts. If necessary, we can supply missing components
throughout the world, day and night by express courier.
