    3. preparation befor texturing(based on Mold Tech texture)

    3.1 All the EDM or other machining marks must be removed;

    3.2 texturing should be completed before other treatment ,such as anodizing or

    nitriding;

    3.3 the minimum finish of the surface to be textured is B3(polished by #320 Grit

    Paper);

    3.4 for the macro texture or that with a depth is less than 0.001,the surface must

    be polished by #400/600 grit papers(B2/B1 );

    3.5 special attention to drafting angle: (1)the Min. drafting angle of out surface of

    small-sized part:1 over-sized part:3

    (2)the relation of the roughness of a textured surface and drafting angle:

    Ra drafting angle Ra6.3 4 Ra < 6.3 3

    (3)one more 1 ~1.5 drafting angle is needed while the depth of outer surface texture is increased by 0.001.

    (4) the drafting angle also is affected by the orientation of texture; (5) the textured insert,core pins or ejector pins must be oriented;
