PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS

Step 1: Baseline TestingThe performance of the test unit was recorded from 5/25/10 until 6/15/10.

Step 2: Installation of Evaporcool SystemThe Evaporcool System was installed on the test unit on 7/27/10.

Step 3: Comparison TestingThe performance of the test unit was recorded from 7/28/10 until 8/26/10.

The energy consumption of an Air-Cooled Chiller was recorded with and without the Evaporcool System at a facility located in Nashville, TN.

Definition: COOLING DEGREE DAY (“CDD”)

A unit used to relate the day's temperature to the energy demands of air conditioning. One cooling degree day occurs for each degree the daily mean temperature is above 65 Fahrenheit.

Examples:

Day 1 Day 2 Day 3Min 60 70 75Max 80 90 105Mean 70 80 90

- 65 - 65 - 65

CDD 5 15 25

To accurately determine savings, days with similar weather must be compared to one another. The industry standard metric is the Cooling Degree Day.

Additional Savings

Additional nancial benets include:

1. Peak Demand Reduction;

2. Maintenance Savings;

3. Reduced Equipment Failure;

4. Increased Equipment Life;

5. Available Tax Benefits; or

6. Potential for Utility Rebates.

The previous case study only demonstrate savings from kWh reduction… but the Evaporcool System provides many additional benets…
