Our Parish Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with the
approval of the Divine Worship Director for our diocese, for
our parish, will be moved to the weekend of June 20-21, so
that more people will be able to attend.
At both Masses, we will have a renewal of our parish
Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and a blessing for all
members of our “Fill the Pews Prayer Team.”
In preparation for the renewal of our parish consecration, all parish
members are asked to pray the Novena to the Sacred Heart on each
of the nine days, starting Friday, June 12 through Saturday, June 20,
for the intention of our parish.
Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, ask and you will
receive, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you.”
Behold I knock, I seek and ask for the grace of…
(Mention your Intention Here)
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.
O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, if you ask anything of
the Father in my name, he will give it to you.”
Behold, in your name, I ask the Father for the grace of…
(Mention your Intention Here)
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.
O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, heaven and earth will
pass away but my words will not pass away.”
Encouraged by your infallible words I now ask for the grace of…
(Mention your Intention Here)
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, for whom it is impossible not to have
compassion on the afflicted, have pity on us miserable sinners and
grant us the grace which we ask of you, through the Sorrowful and
Immaculate Heart of Mary, your tender Mother and ours. Amen.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
This version of the novena is attributed to St. Margaret Mary.
For St. Padre Pio, it was a favorite prayer that he prayed every day.

Prayer During A Health Crisis
Compassionate and Loving Father, In the face of
confusion and concern impart to us the calm of
your presence. In You allow us to find hope and
healing. Be with those who serve the sick and give
them Your caring hands. Be with those who lead
and give them Your Spirit of wisdom. Be with those
who have fallen ill and give them Your comforting
heart. Wrap your arms around our world and hold
us in your love. Allow us at this time of trial to then
serve as instruments of that love to all we meet. We
ask this in Your Name. Amen. ©LPi

Peter - from his call to discipleship to his eventual

trusting disciple being “cast out into the deep”. He talks
about the pitfalls of living discipleship from a distance.
How do we recover from sin and accept God’s mercy in
our lives. He explains how to become a bold witness to
others of the love of Jesus, needed more and more every
