Discovery Academy of Science 1/14-1/18 Mr. Henrie: Physical Education
This Week
Here at the DAS South Campus for Physical Education we have continued our Hockey
unit. This week we reviewed previous skills and knowledge learned last week, and focused
this week on passing and introduced shooting. Popular activities this week included the
“Stick Handling Challenge” and Passing with a Partner. Students also enjoyed their introduc-
tion to shooting. They really enjoy friendly competition. The Stick Handling Challenge was a
self challenge activity where students were given the choice (s) of which difficulty stick han-
dling through cones lines they wanted to do. Different lines had cones spread out in differ-
ent amounts to differentiate easy, medium, and hard difficulty.
