About UsHi, We are Mike, Tawra and Jill from Living On A Dime To Grow Rich. Wesay grow rich because we believe that virtually anyone can use smart techniques to manage money they already have to propel themselves to be more prosperous every day. No matter how much money you have, it can be working more effectively for you so you can be more prosperouswith less stress!

In our financial journey, we have moved from having very little and being overwhelmed with debt to a place where we have no debt of any kind - nocredit card debt, no home mortgage and no student loans. While we werepaying off debts and trying to improve our financial situation, we were still able to support our family of 6 on 1 income and live a happier and lower stress life.

Tawra grew up in extreme poverty after her family including her mom, Jill, her brother and herself came down with a mysterious illness. Jill was forced to raise Tawra and her brother on only $500 a month which required extreme frugality.

Mike came from a middle class family who never spoke about money. In college, he accumulated more debt than he could handle and adopted a typical middle class view that "I deserve" things. If he didn't have enough money, he could put them on a credit card while he figured out how to pay only the monthly payments. He began to see that this was not sustainable, but had not gotten really serious about solving the problem.

Since then, we have stayed ahead of our bills and continued improving our situation even with a larger family, including teenagers. We also managed to pay off our house in one of the most expensive states in the country!

To celebrate, we even took a 7 week family vacation to Europe with money we had freed up by paying off the house decades early.

Through persistently applying smarter money strategies, we have gone from being forced to choose between basic necessities to being completely out of debt with a paid off house. Now we are able to choose to spend money wisely on things that are important to us without going into debt.

Our goal is to help YOU move forward in your life no matter what your circumstances. We believe that EVERYONE can make regular forward progress and MOST people can make dramatic improvements in a short amount of time.

Would you like to eliminate your debt, cut your stress and have an ever improving quality of life? Then come hang out with us, take what you canuse to improve and apply it in your own life!

22 Dinners In 20 Minutes

Today I am sharing 22 meal recipes that take less than 20 minutes toprepare. With meal prep, I usually only count the time it takes in actual work. I do not count the cooking time because the time I spendpreparing the food is what takes the most energy.

While I’m waiting for the food to cook in an oven or crockpot, I don't need to watch it. Instead, I can do something else like clean up the kitchen, help the kids or do some laundry or housecleaning, since I’mnot actually cooking during that time.

In this ebook, I’m sharing some of my favorite go to recipes that not only help you save money but save you time as well -- AND your family will love them!

Oven Fried ChickenWith Biscuits

4 -5 Tbsp. margarine (not butter)4-6 pieces of chicken½ cup baking mix

salt and pepper1 can refrigerator biscuits

Melt margarine in a 9×13 pan. Pour baking mix on a plate or in a plastic bag. Roll chicken in the margarine, then into baking mix and place back into the pan. Salt and pepper to taste. Bake at 375° for about 45 minutes, until the juices run clear.

About 5-10 minutes before the chicken is done, push the pieces of chicken tightly against one side of the pan and lay biscuits into the pan on the opposite side. Finish baking until the biscuits are brown.

Note: It’s okay to lay the biscuits in the margarine and all in the bottom of the pan. That makes the biscuits margarine-soaked and crispy. Oh, yum!

22 Dinners In 20 Minutes

Sheala’s Ham AndNoodles

(For Using Leftover Ham)

1 (8 oz.) pkg. egg noodles, cooked½ lb. ham, chopped 1 can (10¾ oz.) cream of chicken soup1 cup Cheddar cheese, grated

Mix frst three ingredients together in a casserole dish and bake at 350° for 20 minutes until warmed. Top with cheese and bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese melts. Serves 4.

You may add 1 package of any frozen vegetables.

22 Dinners In 20 Minutes

Honey MustardChicken Sandwiches

¼ cup Dijon mustard2 Tbsp. honey2 Tbsp. dried oregano1 tsp. water¼ tsp. garlic powder⅛ -¼ tsp. cayenne pepper

Mix all ingredients. Set aside.

Sandwiches:

4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves4 sandwich or hoagie buns

tomato slicesshredded lettuce

Broil chicken 4 inches from the heat for 3 minutes on each side. Brush with mustard sauce. Broil 4-6 minutes longer or until juices run clear, basting and turning several times. Serve on buns with lettuce and tomato.

9

22 Dinners In 20 Minutes

Garlic Roasted Chicken3-5 lb. chicken

saltpepperpaprika

3 Tbsp. minced garlic¼ lb. butter½ cup chicken broth

Sprinkle the chicken with salt, pepper, paprika. Rub the bird inside and out with garlic. Place in the crockpot. Lay a couple of pats of butter on top of the breast and pour in broth. Cook on Low 6-8 hours. Serve with the garlic butter sauce.

10

22 Dinners In 20 Minutes

Crockpot Salisbury Steak2 lbs. ground beef1 pkg. onion mushroom soup mix (If you can’t fnd it, then

onion soup mix will work too.)½ cup saltine crackers, crushed1 egg¼ cup milk2 Tbsp. vegetable oil¼ cup four2 (10 oz.) cans cream of mushroom soup1 pkg. brown gravy mix, prepared according to package

directions.**

Mix the frst 5 ingredients and shape into 8 patties. Pour vegetable oilinto a frying pan. Dredge the patties on both sides with the four*. Brown in the hot oil on both sides. Place the patties in a crockpot. They can overlap. Combine soup and mixed gravy. Pour over patties.

Cook on low for 4-6 hours, until the patties are cooked through.

*I just pour the four onto a plate, lay the patty in it and dredge on each side.

**You could replace gravy mix with about 1 cup leftover roast gravy.

11

22 Dinners In 20 Minutes

Quick And Easy Chili3 small cans tomato soup*3 soup cans of water ½-1 lb. cooked hamburger

chili powder to tastegarlic powder and onion powder to tastesalt and pepper (to taste)

I usually use at least 2 teaspoons each of chili powder and garlic powder. You can also use onions.

Put everything in a large pan and simmer at least 2 hours. It’s better to let it simmer all day if possible. You can add almost anything you want to this basic recipe. Beans work well or I like to crumble in somefried sausage for extra favor.

*I have also replaced the soup with a large can (32-36 oz.) of tomato juice and it is good, too!

22 Dinners In 20 Minutes

The BEST Slow CookedRoast

1 beef roast, 3-5 lbs.1 onion, sliced1 can cream of mushroom soup (omit for GF and sprinkle

with seasoned salt)

Place roast in pan. Pour cream of mushroom soup and onion on top. Cover tightly. Bake at 250° for 1 hour. Then turn down to 225° and cook for 15 or more hours; 10 hours for roasts smaller than 3 pounds.Serves 4.

*This slow cooked roast recipe is an excellent way to prepare inexpensive roasts. It makes the roast so tender that it falls off the bone and is almost impossible to lift out of the pan in one piece. It is an excellent way to make a delicious meal for Sunday after church orfor guests, because it can cook for 2 or 3 hours longer than required without overcooking. And you get more for your money since it is so tender that no meat is left on the bone!

*Use a meat thermometer to make sure internal temperature reachesat least 145°.

Using Leftover RoastBeef

Ahhh! Can you smell it? Roast beef and potatoes cooking in the Crockpot. What a yummy smell and even yummier to eat — but then what do you do with the leftovers? Here are some ways to make it taste just as good the second, third and fourth time around.

Purchase a large beef roast (5-10 lbs.) on sale. Slow cook the roast and eat it as-is the frst night. Then use any of these ideas to make quick meals. If you want to freeze some of the roast, just put ½-1 lb. per freezer bag in the freezer after it’s been cooked.

Use leftover roast in:

• Beef Stroganoff

• Fajitas

• Pepper Steak

• Pocket Sandwiches

• Stir Fry

• Shepherd’s Pie

• Swiss Steak

• Roast Beef Sandwiches (with lettuce and mayo)

From Tawra’s Inbox:Hello ladies,

I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU for your slow cooked roast recipe! It has been a joke in my family how truly BAD my roasts taste. My loved ones dutifully eat it because they see how hard I’ve worked on dinner (plus they are nearly starved to death by the time dinner is served) and they see the strained smile on my face as I bring their plates to the table. But even I can barely swallow the roast.

I always followed my “Better Homes and Gardens” cookbook faithfully and would try different cuts of meat, all to no avail; it still turned out so dry and tough.

Enter your help. I have been enjoying fitting about your website and fnding all sorts of nuggets of advice. Then I found your recipe! This was the answer I’ve been searching for, lo these many years! I had been cooking it all wrong. I thought I was doomed to buying the pre-cooked roasts-in-a-bag at my local grocery store.

Now my family smiles when they smell the roast cooking as they come home from school. And I feel great knowing I have mastered one of the basic requirements of motherhood… cooking the perfect roast.

Thank you for all your great “tips”!

Sincerely, Becky H.
