21st KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS COMMEMORATION

On the occasion of the 21st commemoration of KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS, we take pride in bringing to you this special edition of the newsletter dedicated to our 'Kargil Heroes' who live on in our hearts, after ensuring the safe future of our country. A little initiative on the part of the faculty - AND OUR STUDENTS were unstoppable. Right from Class 6 , each student paid a memorable tribute in his/ her own unique way. Be it through self-composed poems, posters, slogans, self-taught dances, songs and videos made, especially, to retell the history of the Kargil War – they did all this on their own, without any prodding or guidance. Each section vied with the others by presenting well-coordinated programmes, in their online classes to commemorate this day on the Friday preceding 26th July 2020. And, who could do it better than the students of Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan who, themselves being wards of Army personnel, very well understand the meaning of, both, Sacrifice and Pride! To top it all, there was an artistic masterpiece created by students of our Dance Society 'Anuranjini' (ex-students and the current students) - a video, which reminded us of the great tradition of the Defence Forces - COUNTRY FIRST, AND FOREMOST! Last, but not the least, was the homage to our unsung heroes in the form of a musical video by the band, comprising of some students of Class 12. ( Links for all are given below.) KARTIK YADAV of 9 E merits a special mention as he designed a video-game based on the Kargil War . We have tried to incorporate as many creative tributes from the students as possible, but if a few have been missed out, do pardon us, as it is not a deliberate omission.
