EvER mORE INTERNATIONAL, PLAYTImE PARIS RECORDS YET ANOThER INCREASE IN ATTENDANCE!

In a set design centered around the theme of “Rituals”, the show gathered more than 520 brands, there to present their collections for fall/winter 2017/18. A range that has continued to grow over the years and which is now more international than ever, with more than 80% overseas brands and around 40 nationalities represented. Although the Fashion sector remains the biggest part of the show, the Design part has continued to expand - a trend which will no doubt continue to be on the rise, as brands increasingly make forays into both worlds.

Plenty of lovely new discoveries too this session, with more than a hundred new exhibitors. In an effort to cater as much as possible to emerging brands, the show saw the opening of the space NEW NOW where 12 Fashion collections were presented, all of which were attending for the first time and were selected by designer Deborah Sfez:

candit bandits Netherlands • cherry papaya Portugal • frnky’s Netherlands • owa yurika England • lulaland United States mabli England • manuela kids Spain • popelin Spain • tjorven kids Estonia • vild England • wonderers England • ylur Iceland

Enticed by the prospect of these new discoveries, 7689 professional visitors made the trip, an increase of 3.1% compared to last winter. This attendance is one that is also increasingly open to the world with 55.8% international visitors, thus making Playtime the most international of all professional European shows.

Although the representation of every geographical area has remained overall stable, there has however been a slight increase of American and Asian attendance.

From January 28th to January 30th, Playtime Paris welcomed professionals from around the world to the stunning Parc Floral de Paris for its 21st edition.
