About

We create exquisite furniture that is harmonious and unique: a balance of precisionist lines and natural curves, quiet classicism and a touch of whimsy, designed to treasure, enjoy and amuse.

We have been designing and making furniture in the UK since 2006. Each design is individually produced by teams of exceptionally skilled artisans who wheedle and cajole lux natural materials into a myriad of splendid pieces which are then lovingly hand finished.

We have, over the years, added complementary ranges of fabrics and rugs which can be viewed along with examples of our furniture and finishes in our new showroom in Marylebone, London, or on our comprehensive website.

We are privileged to work with many of the world’s finest architects, interior designers and discerning individuals on residential, commercial and nautical projects of all scale.

Show--room

We are proud to announce that we have opened our first permanent showroom, in a pretty converted Marylebone mews, in London.

We sell our made-to-order furniture collection through professional designers based all over the world and welcome designers and their clients to our showroom Monday through Friday, by appointment.

In our showroom, we display a rotating representative range of our collection along with finishing samples, fabrics and rugs. These are indicative of the quality and style of our designs, however, if there is something specific that you would like to view please call ahead.

We also make personalised presentations to design teams

in the UK and in the many other global cities we visit. If you are interested in having us present to your design team, please contact us.

All of our furniture created in the UK with traditional methods, the greatest care and the highest quality materials. Most of our designs can be customised in scale and finish. Our current lead-time is 8-14 weeks from order.

WOOD – VENEERVeneering is a traditional furniture making technique used for thousands of years which affords flexibility of shape and grain direction as well as decorative marquetry. Along with using traditional hardwood veneers we have started to incorporate newer composite veneers which are both visual stunning and ecologically conscious such as our Shima-Shima variegated veneer.

HIGH-GLOSS LACQUERThis time-intensive finish involves gradually building up multiple layers of lacquer until a sufficient depth is attained. The surface is then repeatedly hand-sanded until perfectly flat, then hand-rubbed until a mirror-like finish is achieved. We offer this finish in a range of colours and can match to a sample if required.

METAL –SHEETMetal details can be specified in one of the following four finishes. Our polished brass finish is not lacquered and will patina naturally over time; it can be brought back to its original lustre through polishing. Nickel is a plated finish and carries an upcharge in most instances.

METAL –CASTOur solid cast metal pieces are available to order in three bronze finishes. The beauty of cast metal is its heft and handmade quality. We do not nickel plate our cast pieces, but rather, cast in a special bronze alloy including nickel resulting in our stunning solid “White Bronze.”

NAILINGDecorative nails can be selected from the following five styles. The upholstery nails are shown at actual size. Each nail is individually placed and hammered by our upholsters with great skill and precision.

UPH-OLS-TERY Our upholstered furniture is rigorously

prototyped to ensure that it is both extremely comfortable and remains aesthetically and physically strong for years to come. We practice time-honoured traditional upholstery standards including the incorporation of hardwood internal frames, hand tied springs and the individual hammering of decorative nailing. To insure the perfect blend of comfort and tailoring, we use a mix of feather wrapped foam, full feather or high-density foam cushions and depending on the physical requirements of each design.
