RCIA/RCIC Rite of Sending and Rite of Election

This Sunday, February 21, adults preparing to be baptized (catechumens) and preparing to come into full communion with the Church through the celebration of Confirmation and Eucharist (candidates) will celebrate the Rite of Sending at our parish. The Wednesday RCIA class will celebrate the Rite of Sending at the 11am Mass and the Sunday RICA class will celebrate at the 1pm Mass. The Rite of Sending offers the parish community an opportunity to acknowledge the spiritual progress the catechumens and candidates have made, express approval of their election or recognition, and send them forth to our Bishop with assurance of the parish’s care and support. In this Rite, they will come forward and sign the Book of Life as a sign of their desire to be num-bered among the chosen of God. Typically, the Rite of Election follows later in the day, but this year due to Covid, the group will be presented to the Bishop on Saturday at 1:30pm. This is the first year we are including our Latino RICA class. Please keep all in your prayers. For more information re-garding RCIA or RCIC, contact Jill Fink at [email protected] or 651.415.3331.

Thank you from the Franciscan Brothers of Peace Food Shelf

"St. Odilia, Thank you all for your continued support, service and prayers for our community. God generously provides through your devoted and effectual witness. We are able to meet the needs of so many who do not have a home or have many mouths to feed. Through Christ, all of us are able to care for the poorest of the poor and see Him reflected so clearly in our lives. I pray that as you donate, unload or sort the food, you are able to recognize this deep, theological Truth. May the Lord never cease providing for all our needs, materially and spiritually. ~ Br. Informacion General

“Escuchad a

Jesús. No lo olvidéis”. (16 de Marzo 2014). ©LPi
