YEARS OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION

The Gordon is proud to celebrate 100 years of International education.

4 | For the latest information visit thegordon.edu.au/international

The Gordon is one of the largest regional TAFEs in Victoria. We are government owned and operated, so you can be confident you have invested in a quality, secure education.

The Gordon has five main campus locations across Geelong and Wyndham, offering you convenience, affordable cost of living and great lifestyle benefits.

With easy public transport links, we are only one hour to Melbourne.

We focus on practical training and hands-on learning. Work placements and industry projects form a large part of our course content, giving you the practical experience you need to enter the workforce with confidence. All work placements are organised by The Gordon and are a great boost to your resume.

Our teachers are industry-trained professionals who love their work, and pass their passion onto their students. With an average of 15 to 22 students in each class, you will get lots of support and more contact time with your teacher.

We are accredited and recognised by peak industry bodies including: NEAS, Australian Community Workers Association, Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the Design Institute of Australia. Gordon graduates achieve higher employment rates than the state and national averages.

Many of our diplomas and advanced diplomas offer pathways to a range of universities so you can gain two qualifications instead of one, save money and develop your practical skills before going onto theory-based coursework.

Quality education in regional location

The Gordon Institute of TAFE has been providing quality education for over 130 years. Our small class sizes, hands-on training, guaranteed industry work placements and pathways to university will help you gain the skills you need for future success in the workplace.

Scholarships

With the help of a generous Endeavour Scholarship from the Australian Government, I have been able to improve my IT skills and be exposed to multicultural people in Australia, and in particular, Geelong.

The Gordon has a pragmatic approach to teaching and learning, it’s very student-centred and provides a hands-on learning experience.

On my first day of class I received the warmest welcome from my course coordinator, Phil, and my classmates. After introducing ourselves we were asked to attempt a quiz, I was not sure how to start and my classmate must have seen me struggling and came over to help me. That was my first ever impression of Australians, that they are very helpful people. I’m so glad I came to The Gordon; I feel that I made the right decision to study here.”
