Final exam schedule for Fall, Winter, and Spring termsThe final examination schedule shown on this page applies only to day classes. If an in-class final examination is given for a day class, it is administered according to this schedule.

• All Saturday classes will have final exams on the Saturday at the end of finals week.

• Evening classes beginning at 5 pm or later will have final exams on the first scheduled class during finals week.

• Day classes beginning on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday: Final exams will be arranged by the instructor for a time that is agreeable to the students in the class.

• If you have more than two final exams on the same day, you may request one of the exams be rescheduled. You must contact your instructor with the request at least two weeks before finals week.

• If you have a conflict between a 4–5:50 pm final and your evening 5:30 pm class, one of your instructors must allow you to reschedule the final. You must contact your instructor with the request at least two weeks before finals week.

• Online faculty need to state a due date during finals week for final submission of tests and assignments.

Summer term final exam Unlike other academic terms, Summer term does not have a stand-alone finals week. Classes meet at all of the regularly sched-uled times and days during the last week of the term. If an in-class final is given, it is to take place during the last week of classes. Not all classes meet for the same number of weeks. Consult your instructor(s) regarding the last scheduled meeting of any class for which you register.

parking lots, and landscaped areas This policy applies to all College employees, students, and visitors to property owned and or controlled by Chemeketa.

Parking• Permits are not required on campus at this time; all parking rules will

be enforced.• Head-in parking is enforced at all times. (Do not pull through or back

into a space.)• Parking permits are issued to a vehicle. The purchaser of the parking

permit is responsible for any parking violation issued to a vehicle displaying the permit, regardless of who the operator may be.

• Annual and term parking permits are required to be placed on the exterior of a vehicle, either on the rear bumper or the rear window so they are clearly visible and legible from the rear of the vehicle.

• Parking permits may be purchased at the Public Safety office in Bldg. 2 or online through My Chemeketa under the “Services” tab.

• Parking fees are non-refundable.• Parking is not permitted in designated parking spaces identified by

colored curbs or signs. If you have a handicap placard and want to park in a disabled space, you will still need a permit and your placard must be clear and visible. REMOTE LEARNING TIPS

go.chemeketa.edu/remotelearninghub

How to access your classesLog in at: eLearn.chemeketa.edu

Enter your My Chemeketa username & password

Need help? Contact the IT Help Desk at 503.399.7899.

Your instructor will let you know about any online tests along with the deadlines to complete them.

Students may be asked to use certain technology for taking tests in Blackboard.

If you are attending a Remote Learning Class, you may be asked to attend online meetings in Zoom, as well as complete work in Blackboard.

Instructors should schedule any online meetings during the same dates and times that your course would be held on campus.

Some instructors may also choose to record these meetings and share links to view the recordings.

Establish a quiet study space where you can work on homework and class assignments.

Participate in class by contributing to discussion posts, responding to your classmates and instructors, or creating a virtual study group.

Log in to your classes daily.

Once you understand the class layout, a good guideline is to log in at least three times per week.

Plan on committing 6–9 hours per week for each class.

Plan ahead and keep track of deadlines.

This will help you schedule enough time to study for

exams, complete assignments, and work through potential technology issues.
