2021 Society of Hickory Golfers U.S. Hickory Open Entry Package The Society’s U.S. Hickory Open for 2021 will be held Sept. 12-14, over the Gearhart Golf Links, Gearhart, Ore. The field will be limited to 112 players. Entries will be collated on the basis of the date on the entry postmark. If a wait list is necessary that list will be developed in the same fashion and vacated spots will be filled in that order. Please read the following information concerning Covid-19 measures and make sure you understand and can follow the restrictions that will be in eect for the event. Any player not following the posted restrictions/guidelines will face disqualification from the event. COVID-19 As of this date – Jan. 4, 2021 – it is assumed that there will continue to be restrictions on some things even as late as September when this event is scheduled. These may include, but not be limited to, vaccinations, social distancing, masks, and limitations on groups, such as with indoor dining. Be prepared to honor those restrictions in order to participate in the U.S. Hickory Open. If you are unwilling to abide by mandated restrictions you will not be allowed to participate. All of this is for YOUR safety and the safety of the field. The U.S. Hickory Open Organizing Committee will actively monitor developments throughout the year and post updates on the U.S. Hickory Open page of the Society of Hickory Golfers website as needed. Risks of travel are all assumed by the participants, of course. The SoHG, the USHO Committee, and Gearhart Golf Links are not responsible for any travel-related risks or their outcomes. In other words, please travel safely and wisely. We hope as many of you may attend as possible, but we hope you do so with an abundance of caution. Please note that there will be caddies available for the event and if you desire to have a caddie for the tournament make sure you indicate that in the provided space on your entry form. Handicaps: The tournament handicap committee reserves the right to confirm all handicaps as well as make adjustments to handicaps during the tournament as may be necessary. All decisions of the tournament handicap committee shall be final. Equipment Compliance: It is the responsibility of each applicant to ensure that his/her equipment complies with the SoHG equipment guidelines. Penalty is disqualification.
