You Are My Beloved With Whom I Am Pleased! Dr. Luz Marina Diaz This workshop is based on the teachings of the spiritual writer Henri Nouwen in his book “The Life of the Beloved”. We will analyze that the church can only be rebuilt if we keep in mind that the identity of each one of us is based on our relationship with God.

Return to the Gospel – Not Gossip David Barocsi and David Dziena Make Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John come alive, and help rebuild the Church with enthusiasm and excitement. This workshop will help you with making the Gospels come alive in your parishes. This workshop will accomplish this by refocusing and reconnecting our energies to the important true message of the Gospels. David Barocsi and David Dziena, from Pflaum publishing, a division of Bayard, will help you with this interactive, inspiring, enthusiastic workshop. You will develop ways of integrating the Gospel in helping to share the Good News.

Janniello Jesus Christ, the Eternal Word made Flesh, was really, truly and substantially present in the Immaculate Womb of the Blessed Virgin at the moment of her Fiat.” We will cover this monumental event in Salvation History (The Incarnation)…Christ’s incarnate public life (John’s Gospel), Last Supper (Institution of the Holy Eucharist) and the sacrificial offering at Calvary – the same sacrifice at Holy Mass. Christ is still really, truly and substantially present on our altars, in every Catholic Church.

New Evangelization – Where Is It? Rev. Francis Amodio, O.Carm. Explore what we need to do or are obliged to do to bring Christ to all aspects of our secular society to bring Christ to the marketplace. What does the new evangelization demand of the Baptized?

Rebuild the Church – Invigorate the Movement Rev. Elias D. Mallon, SA, PhD Francis of Assisi at San Damiano was the first attempt to “Rebuild the Church”. In this workshop, we will discuss how the “Francis Movement” accomplished it and the contemporary challenges and possibilities.

Rebuilding: What Will it Cost?

Rebuilding the Church requires that we, first, assess the costs involved. To do this, we need to take an honest and humble look at the current state of the Church and reflect upon what needs to be changed and what the costs will be to make the needed changes. Change always costs us something. This is why change is not often welcome. But change is part of life and part of being a disciple. The question is: When the costs of rebuilding are counted, will we be willing to pay those costs?

Dr. Matthew Halbach was ordained in 2018 for the Diocese of Des Moines, IA. He is Executive Director of Catechesis for William H. Sadlier, Inc. and a major contributor to Sadlier’s newest catechetical program, Christ In Us. Deacon Halbach is also a national author and speaker on the topics of mercy, accompaniment, clergy abuse, evangelization, and catechesis. He earned his PhD in Catechetics from The Catholic University of America in 2014 and is a reviewer for The International Journal of Evangelization and Catechesis. Deacon Halbach is a father of six children and a husband.

We will look at the teaching method of the original and greatest Catechist ever, Jesus Christ who inspired the young apostles. Through Jesus’ teaching style, they were challenged into a life-long mission to change society and create the Catholic Church. Terminemos esta oración juntos reflexionando, platicando y orando con el llamado que Cristo nos hace a cada uno de nosotros. Fortalecidos con el Espíritu Santo y de la mano de nuestra madrecita María, hagamos de esta “reconstrucción” un momento de transformación interno y externo para nuestras familias, nuestras parroquias, nuestra arquidiócesis y nuestro mundo.

Armando lleva más de dos décadas de experiencia y liderazgo parroquial, diocesano, regional, nacional e internacional. Armando se graduó de UC Irvine con una licenciatura en Ciencias Sociales, enfocándose en Servicio Público y Comunitario. Después de recibir su maestría en Teología Pastoral de la Universidad Loyola Marymount, Armando recibió su MBA Ejecutivo de la Universidad Chapman. Armando fue uno de los co-maestros de ceremonia para el Encuentro Regional y el Encuentro Nacional de la Región 11 en Grapevine, Texas.

Nosotros invitamos nuestros jóvenes a conocer y amar Cristo Jesús en una relación mientras se preparan para los sacramentos. Vamos platicar sobre como los jóvenes encuentran a Cristo Jesús siendo miembros de la Iglesia.
