NOTICE TO ALL ATTENDEESNO DOG SHALL BE LEFT UNATTENDED IN ANY CLOSED VEHICLEThe WCWDCA and WCA reserve the right to remove any animal in distress from a parked vehicle, exercisepen or crate and all persons attending this dog show hereby waive any claim for damages against the clubsfor such removal. An Event Committee Hearing will be convened to consider further disciplinary action ifdeemed warranted.

HOST HOTEL AND SHOW SITEThe host hotel and site of the 2021 national specialty is Eisenhower Complex, 2634 Emmitsburg Rd,Gettysburg, PA. Call 717-334-8121 for reservations. Eisenhower room rate is $119.00 + 11% tax while the Aspire (no dogs) is $139.00 plus tax. Please mentionyou are with the Weimaraner Club of America. This is a group rate with a reduced pet fee. This rate is validfor 3 days before and 3 days after the event based on room availability. Reservations must be received bySeptember 24, 2021.Please Note:- There are 2 hotels in this complex and both have been newly renovated. The Eisenhower accepts dogs and

the Aspire does not allow dogs.

-Pet fee is a flat fee of $50.00 for the entire stay. The hotel will furnish plastic for under the crates.-4 Dog Limit per room.

-Dogs must be crated when left alone in room.

-No dogs to be left overnight in the ballrooms.

-Guests will be responsible for any sleeping or meeting room damages done by dogs.

-No bathing of dogs in hotel guest rooms. A hose with warm water from the hotel laundry room will beavailable.

-Dogs will be exercised in designated areas only. Grounds must remain clean at all times including immediatepick up of animal waste. Plastic bags and trash cans will be provided. Please use them! Failure tofollow these rules can result in a show committee hearing and disciplinary action.

RV PARKINGThe cost is $30/night and there are no hook ups (electrical or sanitation). If you have a room reserved,there is no cost to park the RV. There are limited spaces available. Fees available at campgrounds.

CRATINGCrating in designated area only. No dogs left in crating area overnight. Crating set up available after4:00 pm on Monday, October 25, 2021. Please help us remain a welcomed guest at the EisenhowerComplex by keeping your area clean.

Fee - $25.00Section 1 - Classifications - The Four-to-Six Month Puppy Competition shall be for dogs that are four months of ageand over but under six months of age on the day of the show.

This is a combined class for dogs and bitches

Section 2 - Entry and Eligibility and eligibility requirements include:! AKC registration number or an AKC litter number will be required for all entries.! A foreign born dog may enter this class if they are registered in the country of orgin.! All entrants are to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian's protocol.! Dogs that are owned or co-owned by a professional handler may compete in this class, but must be

handled by a non-professional handler. Professional handlers are defined as any person whobelongs or has belonged to a professional handlers' organization, distributed rate cards, orotherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay or received payment forhandling a dog. Dogs may not be exhibited by current assistants and household members of aprofessional handler.

BEST OF BREED COMPETITIONThe following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition:Dogs that are Champions of Record and Dogs which according to their owners’ records have completed therequirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. All dogs entered in the Bred-by Class must be individually registered withthe AKC. The person handling the dog must be a breeder of record of the dog and an owner of record of thedog. Family members must be both a breeder and owner of record to exhibit in the class. Any entry in theBred-by-Exhibitor classes that is awarded Best of Breed or Best of Winners would automatically be BestBred-by-Exhibitor. Only the dog or bitch not defeated in Bred-by-Exhibitor are eligible for the BestBred-by-Exhibitor competition. One Free Litter Registration offered by the AKC.

Non Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog EntriesSTUD DOG CLASS: For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. It is not necessary that the Get be under thesame ownership as that of the Stud Dog. The Stud Dog may be entered separately in one of the regularclasses or if a Champion of Record, in Best of Breed Competition, but must be entered in the Stud DogClass. The Get MUST be entered in one of the regular classes. The Stud Dog shall be considered as oneentry and requires one entry fee. This being the regular fee plus the additional class fee if the Stud Dogis entered in another class. The Stud Dog must be shown in the ring with the Get. The Class will bejudged on the merits of the Get.

BROOD BITCH CLASS: Same as for the Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Producefor Get.

(WCA Only)BRACE CLASS: This class shall be for two dogs of the same breed (A Unit) irrespective of sex, with oneor more common owner. The Brace will be judged on consistency. Dogs entered in each Brace Classunit must each also be entered in a regular or non-regular class. Show Brace Class in “Additional Class”portion of the entry form. Please note the AKC registration number or registered name of the other dogmaking up the brace unit on each entry form. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITIONJunior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition present or a first place in Novice withoutcompetition leading to a Best Junior award with competition would count as one win towards moving toOpen, after the closing of entries for a show, are required to transfer their entry from the Novice Class to theOpen Class. Must notify the Superintendent/Show Secretary at least one-half hour prior to the scheduledstart of Junior Showmanship judging at the show.NOVICE CLASS: For boys and girls who are at least 9 years and under 18 years old on the day of the show andwho, at the time entries close have not won three first place awards, with competition present, in a NoviceClass.OPEN CLASS: For boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show,and who, at the times entries close, have won three first place awards in a Novice Junior Showmanship Classwith competition present at a licensed or member show. Juniors which according to their records havecompleted the requirements to compete in the Open class but whose status is unconfirmed by the AmericanKennel Club are limited to competing in the Open Class for a period of 60 days from the date of the showwhere the Junior completed the requirements according to their records.MASTER CLASS: For boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show,and who have won 10 Best Junior wins with competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent withthe eligibility dates for the AKC National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class arerequired to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have alreadyclosed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class tocompete for the following year.

AKC Junior Handler Numbers are now required for entry in Junior Showmanship Competition. Numbers maybe obtained from the AKC Phone (919) 233-9767. Entry form must be filled out with the necessaryinformation, otherwise the entry in Junior Showmanship will not be accepted.

The AKC National Owner-Handled Series is a non-titling competition for dogs that are exhibited by theirowners that are not professional handlers.

Exhibitors must declare their dog is Owner-Handled eligible at the time of entry on theentry form.

Dogs entered in the Amateur-Owner-Handler class will automatically be marked as eligible to compete in theNOHS. Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the judge’s book, steward’s book & the catalog. Dogsmust be handled throughout the breed level competition for the regular show by an eligible owner.Professional handlers*, household members and current assistants** to professional handlers maynot exhibit the dog in any NOHS competition during the entire show.

Owner-Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the dogs that are eligible to compete in the Best of Breedcompetition including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and winners of the non-regular classes.• If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is Owner-Handled competition eligible, it will automatically be

Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety and be eligible to compete in both the regular as well as theOwner-Handled group.

• If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is not eligible for Owner-Handled competition and the Best of OppositeSex to Best of Breed/Variety is eligible, the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/ Variety will competeagainst the eligible exhibits of the other sex to determine Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety.

• If neither the Best of Breed nor the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety are Owner-Handledcompetition eligible and Select Dog & Select Bitch are both eligible, the judge is to choose BestOwner-Handled exhibit from the Selects and eligible Winners Dog or Winners Bitch.

• If one of the Selects is eligible, excuse all Champions and non-regular class winners of the same sex andthen choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the remaining dogs of the opposite sex including the eligibleWinners.

• If Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed, Select Dog & Select Bitch are not eligible, the judgemay choose any eligible dog remaining in the ring including Winners Dog or Winners Bitch asOwner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety.

• If the Best of Winners is eligible, the other Winner is ineligible since it was defeated. • No class dogs other than the Winners Dog & Winners Bitch are eligible to return to the ring.

The breed will not be represented in the Owner-Handled Group if there is no eligible dog competing in theBest of Breed or in Best of Winners competition.

* Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to aprofessional handlers’ organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised orrepresented themselves as handling dogs for pay within the last five years.

** A current assistant is defined as anyone employed by a professional handler on a full-time basis, orassisting a professional handler at the show or any time during the cluster/weekend.

Current assistants that are eligible to compete in Junior Showmanship (meet age & amateur statusrequirements) may participate in NOHS.

WHAT IS THE MOST VERSATILE WEIMARANER AWARD?This award has been established by the Weimaraner Club of America to recognize the overall versatility ofthe Weimaraner. The MVW Award will be presented to the Weimaraner who accumulates the mostpoints by placing/qualifying in at least three of the various venues offered at the WCA National Specialtyand/or the local club Regional Specialty during the week of Nationals.

How Does It Work?Dogs must participate and earn points in at least three of the following eight venues (not all venues maybe offered every year).

Agility (Standard & JWW Regular or Preferred Classes in Novice, Open, Excellent, or Masters)Conformation (AKC only, not sweepstakes or Futurity/Maturity)Obedience (Regular, Graduate Novice/Open, and Versatility Classes Only)Rally (Regular Classes only)TrackingShooting RatingsRetrieving RatingsHunting Tests

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS

Acknowledgment of entries will be made as soon as possible after entries have closed. Should such acknowledgment

not be received by the exhibitor within a reasonable time, please notify the Show Secretary at the listed address or

telephone. (610) 376-1880. The Show Secretary assumes no responsibility for cash sent through the mail.

Post dated checks or returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a collection fee

to the amount of each returned check. The returned check must be made good by cash or money order before the

dog(s) will be allowed in the ring. Any person that issues a check that is returned for non-payment, will be required

to pay a fine of $30.00 per check and all items with which check or checks were issued shall then be paid by cash,

money order or cashier’s check.

CONDITIONAL, UNSIGNED, INCOMPLETE ENTRIES received without fee will not be accepted.

Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be

refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. Every effort to find all

duplicate entries will be made; however, if entry has been processed, no refund will be made.

Entries not on Official AKC Forms or photocopies of entry forms without rules and agreement on reverse side of Official

AKC entry form are NOT acceptable.

Changes, additions, corrections or cancellations to entry forms must be received in writing by email or US Mail, signed

and dated by Owner or Agent prior to the close of entries. Not acceptable by telephone.

Entries must be submitted with required entry fee on an Official American Kennel Club Form. Entries submitted in the

form of telegrams or by telephone cannot be accepted.

Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or

barred from competition by action of the Event Committee., or because the dog is ineligible to compete due to being

entered incorrectly. There is no refund of entry fees due for duplicate entry or overpayment of entry fees. If, because

of riots, wars, strikes, civil disturbances, national emergencies, health emergencies, unsafe weather conditions, and

the dictates of law enforcement or of the owner(s) of the grounds and/or facilities or other acts beyond the control

of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the event, no refund of entry fee will be made. The

well-being of dogs, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance and, in the event it is necessary to cancel

or stop the event before completion, no refund of entry fee will be made. To find out about any AKC event

cancellations call the AKC Event Cancellation Hotline (877) 252-3229.

Only dogs that are eligible to be shown under the AKC rules shall be allowed on the show grounds.

All dogs shall be held on leash or confined to their crates, except when being judged or when being exercised.

There shall be no drilling nor intensive or corrective training of dogs on the show grounds or premises.

Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their

dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. Dogs may arrive any time prior to their scheduled

time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused.

The Club reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. All trophies must be claimed the day of the

show.

Class cash prizes will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the

ring before the judging of that Breed is over & the Show Secretary’s Office is advised at once. The Show Secretary &

Show giving Club disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the Breed is over.

The welfare of an exhibitor’s child is the responsibility of the exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that exhibitors will

exercise control and restraint over their children on the day of the show. For everyone’s safety, no baby strollers or

wheeled child carriers are allowed on the show grounds.

All persons attending this dog show hereby waive by claim for damages against Weimaraner Club of America &

Weimaraner Club of the Washington D.C. Area, its members, or agents, in the event a motor vehicle must be entered

to rescue a dog from overheating or suffocation due to improper ventilation.

Weimaraner Club of America & Weimaraner Club of the Washington D.C. Area, its Show Secretaries, their agents,

employees, etc. will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will assume no responsibility

for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or to any of their dogs or property participating in

these shows, and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children at these shows.

Any exhibitor or person in their employ found to be littering or failing to clean-up after their dogs will be brought

before the event committee.

Inconsideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to winprizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers agents,superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to holdthis event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmlessfrom any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of thisdog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I( (we) personally assume all responsibility andliability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damageto this dog.Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned partiesharmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of theaforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by any personor persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence or my (our) participationin this event, however such, injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been causedor may be alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees, agents, or any otherpersons. I (WE) AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF ACTION, CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THEENTRY, EXHIBITION OR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT BETWEEN THE AKC AN/OR THE EVENT-GIVING CLUB AND MYSELF(OURSELVES) OR AS TO THE CONSTRUCTION, INTERPRETATION AND EFFECT OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE SETTLEDBY ARBITRATION PURSUANT TO THE APPLICABLE RULES OF THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION. HOWEVER,PRIOR TO ARBITRATION ALL APPLICABLE AKC BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES MUST FIRST BEFOLLOED AS SET FORTH IN THE AKC CHARTER AND BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS, PUBLISHED POLICIES ANDGUIDELINES.

INSTRUCTIONS1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety

you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniels (Black, ASCOB, Parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in.; over 13 in. but not exceeding15 in.), Dachshunds (Longhaired, Smooth, Wirehaired), Bull Terriers (Colored, White), Manchester Terriers (Standard, Toy),Chihuahuas (Smooth Coat, Long Coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (Toy,Miniature, Standard), Collies (Rough, Smooth).

2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record anddogs which, according to their owner's records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championshipsare unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is Limited to a period of 90 days from thedate of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.

3. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in this premium list, if the dog show class in which you are entering your dog is divided,then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., agedivision, color division, weight division.

4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered doghas been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after thedate of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recordedin his name. State on the entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to A.K.C. (For complete rule refer to Chapter 14,Section 3.).

5. Mixed Breed dogs entering classes for Agility, Obedience and Rally trials should mark Breed as AKC Canine Partners Listed Dog "All-American Dog/Mixed Breed." Variety, Breeder, Sire, Dam information shall remain blank for mixed breed etrants.
