DR GEOFF HALL

“Having completed my dental education, I studied orthodontics and discovered my passion in dentistry.

The privilege of nearly three decades in orthodontic practice at Advanced Orthodontics and now at

MP Orthodontics means I have completed treatment for over 10,000 patients. Experience has shown

me the transformative effects in a person from orthodontic treatment that works.

We’ve all seen the landscape in dentistry change in recent years. While dentists have been impacted,

so too have patients. I found orthodontics was not accessible to a growing number of people. It’s this

discrepancy which prompted my development of Smilefast for general dentists in 2011.

I also identified general dentists could benefit from

access to quality and sound orthodontic education

delivered by an orthodontist. Now through The OrthoED

Institute Mini Masters Education Program – I’m fulfilling

a personal mission to mentor dentists to realise their

practice and professional vision through orthodontics.

As Anne Isabella Ackeray Ritchie said ”Give a man a fish

and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him

for life.” At the OrthoED institute our aim is to provide

you with the best “bait” to fish – sound orthodontic

principles so every one of your patients can be treated

with quality, confidence and predictability. ”

Modules include pre course reading material, theory, practical, case examples, treatment planning sessions, trouble shooting and a hands on component as well as a plethora of post course resources. Lectures are delivered by an experienced, knowledgeable and entertaining specialist orthodontist, Dr Geoff Hall, along with other specialist lecturers when appropriate.

Prior to each module, course participants are required to complete pre-module study, including online viewing of instructional videos and completion of the course materials reading list. Training modules are delivered over two to three day blocks, with the practical component comprising of a half or full day of the total lecture block. Some modules include post course homework and participants will receive resource material following each module.

WHAT DENTISTS ARE SAYING ABOUT DR GEOFFREY HALL AND THE ORTHOED INSTITUTE

The OrthoED Institute

I never thought orthodontics can be so much fun – through Geoff I have learnt what are the easy cases and the difficult cases, I can now identify the risk analysis for all cases and modify treatments accordingly. The only question I ask myself – why has this type of teaching never been available before. Geoff Hall is a master instructor and his support is superb, I cannot thank the OrthoEd Institute enough for the most inspiring and superb orthodontic education.

DR SS, BRISBANE

I have done numerous other orthodontic courses – I thought I understood orthodontics. I learnt more in two days with Geoff Hall than I did in two years with other teachers. He constantly challenges the myths that have been created and makes one fully understand the principles so I can evaluate and treat all cases now without unwanted side affects arising in treatment. His vast experience and knowledge and passion to teach makes this a supreme programme. Thank you Geoff and Robyn for bringing this to Australia and changing my clinical life.

DR SM, PERTH

I have been to various courses I have never learnt so much in any course as I have with OrthoED. Geoff makes orthodontics fully understandable and teaches sound principles. The hands on component and resources that are provided are invaluable as it provides total confidence in taking what I have learnt from the course and putting it into practice. Also the total mentoring process that Geoff adopts makes this course the gold standard in orthodontic education for the general dentist.

DR JP, MELBOURNE

I always thought orthodontics, especially braces was quite complex, until Dr Geoff Hall showed me how easy it is once you understand the basics. Since introducing Smilefast to my practice, I managed to elevate my surgery to another level as I can do more comprehensive dentistry at a faster pace. Besides the increase in revenue, my patients are so happy that they can achieve the smile they wanted in such a short time, that my referrals have also increased.

Dr Hall has been great during his courses by explaining orthodontics in a simple and easy to understand manner. I was able to treat my first case within days of attending the course.

Smilefast was introduced to me by a colleague so the positive feedback from other dentists convinced me to introduce Dr Hall’s system to my practice. With the help of Dr Hall and his team I have been able to do my cosmetic cases faster, resulting in happier customers. Communication with the Smilefast office is always prompt either via emails or telephone. Help is always available to assist in treatment planning for every case. Have Geoff there to oversee every step is such a relief.

The process of treatment planning and executing has been made so easy through the online portal. A virtual set up can be viewed and can also be seen by the patient. The method allows my clients to visualise the end result and therefore accept the proposed treatment. My journey with Smilefast so far has been smooth, enjoyable, predictable and profitable. Everything that a dentist could want.”

WHAT DENTISTS ARE SAYING ABOUT DR GEOFFREY HALL AND THE ORTHOED INSTITUTE

The OrthoED Institute

What a fantastic course – I look forward to every module. I learn so much on the weekly Q and A session too. I cannot get enough learning and cannot thank The OrthoEd Institute for making orthodontics so enjoyable, predictable and profitable for me . Whenever I have a question it is always answered promptly and I feel now so confident that I have a fantastic and knowledgable mentor behind me. I cannot thank Geoff and Robyn enough.

DR JJ, SYDNEY

Geoff and Robyn are amazing human beings. they have gone above and beyond with regards to creating a wonderful learning environment where general dentists with prior or no prior experience can take their orthodontic skills and knowledge to the next level. They really have delivered their business mantra of ‘promise less, deliver more’. Robyn is a wealth of knowledge and such a good teacher. Geoff has been humble and patient with all of our questions from the floor. No question was too dumb for him to answer- There is no ego, just pearl after pearl after pearl. I have thoroughly enjoyed the learning experience of Smilefast so soon afterwards signed up to OrthoEd with no regrets. Geoff’s tips and tricks in biomechanics is mind-blowing. Thank you Geoff and Robyn for giving general dentists an opportunity to practice orthodontics with sound principles. OrthoEd is the course which was missing in our undergrad years.

BECKY CHEN, BALLARAT

Geoff Hall you are such an incredible talented lecturer, I have never thought that one day I would find Orthodontics as such an easy and interesting subject as you explained it .Thanks for all your efforts in Module 1 and looking forward to learn more in Module 2. Robyn you are an amazing course organizer and treatment coordinator, we appreciate all your help and we are very lucky to have you in this course.

MAHER FARAG, NSW

Geoff is an exceptional Teacher. The real “GURU”. Teaches the principles and not a cook book. Thanks for guiding me Geoff.

ABHINAV SHARMA, GYMPIE QLD

Great course content delivered in a practical and easy to understand way.

MATTHEW BURKE, VCTORIA

Dr Geoff Hall has a down to earth, practical, no holes barred approach to understanding and deconstructing the complex into manageable pieces. Very generous teacher.
