THE 8TH ANNUAL WHEEL TO SURVIVE, PRESENTED BY BE THE DIFFERENCE FOUNDATION, is an indoor cycling fundraiser benefitting programs for women currently battling ovarian cancer and providing research dollars for a cure. Cyclists of all skill levels are welcome to participate and 100% of the dollars raised will fund programs to help women increase their chances of survival from this deadly disease.

Register, Raise and Ride – it’s as easy as 1,2,3! Teams and individual riders alike will experience a journey led the best instructors in the city. The event is 5 hours with five 45 minute back-to-back rides. Vendors will donate a percentage of their sales to Wheel to Survive and a raffle will be held throughout the event with raffle ticket sales benefiting the event.

ABOUT BE THE DIFFERENCE FOUNDATIONThe mission of Be the Difference Foundation is to create awareness and improve the lives of all people affected by ovarian cancer through education, support and research. To achieve this goal, our efforts are focused on raising awareness and money to fund programs for women fighting ovarian cancer today and to provide research dollars for a cure.

One woman is diagnosed with ovarian cancer every 24 minutes. One woman dies from ovarian cancer every 37 minutes. 70% women diagnosed will die from the disease. Sadly, there is no routine, reliable early detection test available for ovarian cancer today.

In 2019, it is estimated that 22,000 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and 14,000 will die from the disease. With more funds to support awareness, survivor programs, and research, your support will help increase the chance of survival for many women – our mothers, daughters, sisters and friends.

Be the Difference Foundation was formed in 2012 by four ovarian cancer survivors with a common goal to “Be the Difference” in the fight against ovarian cancer. Since its inception, Be the Difference Foundation has raised more than $2.8 million in the fight against ovarian cancer.

BENEFITS OF SPONSORSHIPWheel to Survive, a relay style indoor cycling fundraiser, is a community celebration of survivors and their families, the spirit of sisterhood and a ride in memory of those who have lost their battle against ovarian cancer. Indoor and outdoor cyclists of all levels are invited to participate and the event draws hundreds of riders each year.

Wheel to Survive has a website with easy access to all event and sponsor information including your company logo and hyperlinks to your website. Opportunities range from title sponsor to in-kind and every level in between.

Benefits of sponsorship are largely determined by the level, but all sponsor logos receive visibility in marketing collateral material, social media, event day signage and our Wheel to Survive dedicated registration website. Our social media posts were seen by more than 11,000 people and the Wheel to Survive website received more than 8,000 views in 2019.

MARKETING OUTREACHIn 2019 Be the Difference Foundation’s Wheel to Survive had just over 300,000 gross marketing impressions across Social Media, Print, Radio and TV media platforms. Wheel to Survive was promoted in the following media outlets:

In 2019 the Wheel to Survive website had more than 20,000 views. Sponsors logos with hyperlinks to their sites are included on the site as part of the sponsorship benefits.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Be The Difference Foundation receives the majority of its funding from individual donors, foundations, corporations and sponsorships at our fundraising events. Our signature fundraising event is Wheel to Survive.
