Uptowncharlybrown Stud LLC and Diamond B FarmRemain Lead Sponsors for TFH Day 2021

Prepare for a great day of races on Turning For Home Day, June 22nd! This day will notonly feature two $100,000 PA Bred Stakes Races, but will also feature two Turning forHome $75,00 Starter Handicaps, one for the boys and one for the girls!!! Be sure to enteron this fun day!.

Since the initial concept for TFH Day in 2014, UTC Stud LLC and Diamond B Farm havebeen the co-sponsors this event, along with Parx Racing and the PTHA and so many of oursupporters, which raises awareness for our program. They will resume top spot again in2021. As always, TFH Day celebrates the Partner Farms, without whom we could neverassist as many horses into safe second careers as we have. Last year over 300 horseswere rehabilitated, retrained and rehomed with no-slaughter contracts despite a 100 daypause in racing and the loss of corresponding funding. TFH kept its doors open for thehorses who remained in training and those who were retired prematurely with the threat of along pause in our sport. We hope you can come out, enjoy a great day of racing with two PABred Stakes and the TFH Handicaps, and celebrate the beauty, athleticism, and versatilityof the horses we love to breed and race and follow into their next careers. Theirachievements are ours to share and we need to celebrate the magnificent horses we raiseand train and share in their needs after racing by helping them transitionto the next stage oftheir lives. We are honored this year to be able to raffle the stud halter of the very special Preaknessand Belmont winner from 2005, Afleet Alex. Stay tuned for more to come on June 22nd!!

Remember theFun we had....before thepandemic onTFHDay....Let's doit Again!!!

TFH Success Stories of the Week

Tea's Eminence

Everyone on the backstretch knows the love thattrainers Mike and Peggy Tzortzakis have fortheir horses, and we are proud to announce that theyare now fur-baby grandparents! Tea'sEmminence was retired at age 6 after only 6 startsand two wins. The gorgeous daughter of ExclusiveQuality out of Tea Pot Joy, BY Joyeux Danseur hadinjured her tendon in a training accident and the scartissue, despite great care (and cookies), was enoughto encourage her connections to retire her fromracing. She was adopted through TFH to

Thundercrest Performance Horses, finished her rehab, and was subsequently bred toBelgium Warmblood stallion Bandelero JSF. After a fun gender reveal photoshoot, she gavebirth to an impressive filly and is just the best mamma. Her owner will see what "T" wants todo with her future, but for now, she is safe and happy, as her racing connections wanted forher!

15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, ….. 17 Thereforedo not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 …. be filled with theSpirit, - Ephesians 5:15-18 (NKJV)

The Holy Days of Shavuot, or Pentecost have already passed for most of theChurch, but for the Orthodox Church it is still to come on June 20th this year. Andanyways, I want to focus on the teaching and telling that being filled with the Holy Spirit, oras I like to say, the Spirit of God, is a continuing event. It is not something that happensonce and for all. As it has been said we need to be refilled because we leak. The passage above makes some important points about the filling of the Spirit whenwe look closely. The verb “be filled” in this passage is present passive imperative. Let ustake that in reverse – it is imperative, so it is important, necessary, crucial, essential, andrequired. Secondly, it is passive, so it is something that God accomplishes, God has toaccomplish it. We may present ourselves, but it is a gift of God. Thirdly, the verb is in thepresent tense, it happens in the present, even if it has happened, the filling continues in thepresent; and, that is imperative, and it is a gift of God. Do you feel empty, or like you are running on, or near empty? Maybe you are, butnot to worry. God gives free refills. God gives free refills, and God knows that we needrefills. God will not ever say, “Oh, you again,” in a derogatory way. God will say, “It is sogreat to see you again. I love you. I cannot get enough of you! I always love to see you.” Life wears us down. We are bombarded with messages that wrong is right and rightis wrong. It is not easy to “walk circumspectly,” and “wisely.” Fortunately, God is a solidsource of truth and strength, that we can go to, and need to go to regularly, daily to receivethe guidance that we need – the free refills that we need. Even the Apostles needed refills. It is striking, as we read through the books of Acts,to repeatedly see the phrase, “and they were filled with the Holy Spirit.” We might say, “Hey,they were just filled last chapter,” but now we know that even the great ones leak, and needrefills. Thank you, God that you know our needs. Thank you, God, that you give freerefills. Help us to come and receive the filling, and refilling that we need day by day –Amen!

18 The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. 19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and savethem. - Psalm 145:18-19 (NKJV)
