Organization Name Better Together Contact Name Phone Email

Mellissa Foster 904-556-1230 [email protected]

Organization’s Mission

Better Together is a nonprofit founded on the belief that loving parents should not lose children because of financial challenges or lack of resources. These challenges can be overcome with the right support system in place. Better Together implements two highly successful programs – Better Families and Better Jobs – that provide a powerful platform for people who are ready to enact positive change. Better Together is an alternative to foster care that empowers parents to keep their families together, and Better Jobs addresses the root of the problem, connecting people to stable work that restores their dignity. Both programs are 100% privately funded and community driven, implemented by faith-based organizations and a caring volunteer force. Here’s how it works: When parents fall into crisis, fully screened and trained volunteers host children in their homes while mentoring parents toward stability. This includes help with finding a job, securing housing, childcare, treatment and more.

Teri Evans, Senior Marketing & Communications Director Main office: 239-643-3908 [email protected]

Organization’s Mission

Child’s Path creates brighter futures for Collier County children and families by providing partial scholarships for high-quality and affordable early learning and care. We serve approximately 300 children, ages 1 to 5, every year through four early learning centers, which follow the Reggio Emilia approach of self-directed, experiential learning. We provide scholarship assistance to approximately 75 percent of the children enrolled. High-quality early education changes the entire trajectory of a child’s life and helps prepare them for academic and lifelong success. We believe every child deserves access to high-quality early learning and a bright start in life.
